Furry-juicy suede cloud
The Ella K. brand was recently introduced to me at the Albrecht perfumery in FFM. "The lady originally comes from industry," the saleswoman whispered knowing.
And now Ella K., her own brand. Although the fragrances are usually presented as unisex, the website creates the image of a self-confident, but also artistic-spiritually oriented woman who surrounds herself with the fragrances on her travels and expresses their facets. Marketing halt, but not bad and not at all so thickly applied.
"MÉLODIE D'ALTAI" is now described as "Voluptuous Woody Leather", and from the point of view of appearance it fits quite well. At first glance, a soft, expansive, dense, rather dark tinted scent, a little dark-sweet-sensual cloud with a good sillage. Even if just this note is missing in the pyramid above, the first impression for me is very ambry, cloudy, rich. The description attached to the fragrance speaks of "animalistic", "wild" and "back to nature", even "violence of carnal pleasure", but I don't get these impressions at all, on the contrary - the leather is the softest exquisite suede, somehow dark brown or deep violet, in the beginning you may perceive a slight note of flirting rubber in the background, but it quickly binds in as a slightly smoky resinous note, also more like exquisite incense than sticky tree resin. Fur as a note mentioned above doesn't seem to me to be very suitable here because of the smell but because of the almost haptic impression. And definitely patchouli, from head to base.
I am personally fascinated, but above all, by another aspect that I only noticed after repeated wearing in the top note: a dense, almost deeply fruity kind, which fills and rounds off the cloudy-furry character very emphatically, I see a shiny dark brown liquid in front of me, as if obtained from dried fruits, a certain touch of heavy cognac, altogether a deep, round, full exhalation that constitutes the core of this fragrance for me and makes it very attractive and beguiling to me. This combination of deep full ripe juiciness and furry suede cloudiness is, in my opinion, a very special quality that determines the fragrance for many hours.
Sorry for the somewhat flowery and esoteric choice of words this time, so I feel I can best approach the scent and describe its perception, hope this can be conveyed a little ;-)
