An obituary.
2017. I still remember our first encounter very well. It was only digital at first - but you immediately turned my head. Your look, the beautiful commercial. Perfect marketing.
I could hardly wait to bring you jungle beauty to me in the urban jungle.

A short time later, I met you in person for the first time. I carefully placed you in my hands. You were even prettier in person. A perfectly cut, precious emerald.

Once sprayed, you immediately cast a spell over me. The word "special" fits you like a glove. Rarely have I tested such an exciting fragrance. Your green notes, juicy and lush, reminded me of woodruff. Thematically incredibly fitting.

As the fragrance progressed, a creamy vanilla note was added that I would not have expected. A green fragrance with a vanilla note? Can that fit!

And how it fits!!!

The warm essence of your green heart literally lulls the wearer. You feel free and secure at the same time. Your light shines all day or all night. No matter which chapter you want to write.

It is all the more painful that we have already had to say goodbye to you. I will treasure my "stash" of you and suspect that you were simply too special to reach the masses. But that also means people can't smell you on every corner... Which brings us back to "special".

Hula-Hoop
"Flowerbomb (Eau de Parfum) | Viktor & Rolf" is one of my all-time favorite fragrances. So I get very excited when the range brings out a new flanker.

This time, however, I was a little skeptical in advance... Coconut is one of my absolute pet peeves! Nevertheless, my curiosity got the better of me. Ordered blind. Eyes closed and through!

At first, the fragrance really does seem quite tropical and Caribbean. However, when the coconut note fades, the typical Flowerbomb flowers come to the fore. These are a little "pungent" - but that's exactly what I like so much about the normal Flowerbomb. (I always thought that the original was the combination with patchouli...)

Later, a fruity-sweet mango is added and keeps the flowers in check. Not bad at all. Floral necklaces and juicy cocktails!

The fragrance then lingers on my skin and gives me a carefree feeling. A first taste of spring fever, so to speak.

All in all, "Flowerbomb Tiger Lily | Viktor & Rolf" is a pleasant and cheerful fragrance that should probably be worn in spring/summer. Or even today, for all those who are already suffering from the winter blues... ;-)

Fragrances know no age! Or do they?
For a long time there was a "no" from me to "Sì".

I still remember well when the fragrance was launched and excessively advertised in the process.

It must have been about a year ago that Julia Roberts beamed at us for the first time from an advertising poster for "La Vie est Belle L'Eau de Parfum | Lancôme". A woman of stature. A seasoned personality.

Now it should be as the face of the latest creation from the house of Armani a similarly great screen diva: Cate Blanchett!

Unlike Roberts, who portrayed a lightness radiating and life-affirming person in the advertising for LVEB, Blanchett embodied a rather tough and somewhat aloof business lady. A grand dame.

(Of course, I don't want to give the impression with this comparison that there is only black and white or that a person can only ever combine one of the two versions. I merely reflect how the two protagonists at the time have affected me.)

Unlike LVEB, it actually took me a while to "get into" Sì. Something inside me said to itself, you are not old enough for this fragrance. This scent would wear you and not the other way around. Was it the cool beauty of Blanchett that put me off? Was it the strength she exuded? I can't rule it out entirely...

Time jump to the present:

How wrong I was! Today, Sì and some of its flankers are among my absolute favorites. Thanks to this fragrance, I have discovered the beauty of blackcurrant as a fragrance for me. It combines a cool sourness in itself, but is still warm and sweet at the same time. Which brings us back to the topic - nothing is only black and white!

Sì starts fruity, tangy and simply makes a good mood. The black currant has something syrupy, seems noble and heavy. Over time, a few white flowers join the spectacle, before the fragrance slowly fades with warm vanilla and cool patchouli.

Sì is a fragrance of opposites for me. Just like the marketing of LVEB and Sì.

Ultimately, there are two completely different fragrances and personalities, which you can and should enjoy, no matter what age. After all, who wants to be the same / the same every day?

I was extremely surprised when I accidentally stumbled upon the existence of this new (and limited) Flanker.
Not so long ago came with "La Vie est Belle Soleil Cristal | Lancôme" only the last creation from the LVEB series on the market.

Of course I hear, deep in the hidden, already the Unken munkeln: "Tsss, everything only Geldmacherei. This mainstream crap and then sooo cute too. PLÖRRE!!!"

Fortunately, the majority of fragrance enthusiasts should still be happy about this new release.... After all, otherwise LVEB wouldn't be a worldwide bestseller. #isso

So. Now but enough of the nastiness and schnurstracks to the real reason for this text. The fragrance:

What a prelude. I smell the sweetness of "La Vie est Belle L'Eau de Parfum | Lancôme" morphed with, brace yourselves, the powderiness of "Dior Homme Intense (2011) | Dior"! What an unexpected and surprisingly coherent combo.

The iris lobe swings considerably for the first few minutes and I can't keep my nose off my wrist. The subliminal sweetness prevents the fragrance from coming across too "dusty" and dry.

In the further course, the iris steps a little into the background and the fragrance changes in a lovely floral, slightly fruity direction. From afar, however, you can already guess the vanilla, which will make itself later in the base even wider.

At this point, the fragrance most closely resembles the Ur-LVEB. However, only until the grand finale, the drydown. Here we expect namely a heavenly soft delicacy, which I now simply times "vanilla cotton musk" baptize.

The fragrance is now no longer as loud as at the beginning. Rather, it lays like a velvety veil on the skin and gives warmth and comfort.

I am admittedly not a big fan of the pure musk note. But if this is garnished, as here, with gentle undertones of vanilla, it is done around me.

The durability is located in the upper range, but the fragrance is much quieter in terms of sillage than other brothers and sisters of the LVEB series. From a certain point, you have to go with the nose a little closer to perceive the fragrance experience.

The bottle is, as usual, picture-perfect. This time he has put on his pearly white smile and shines in glittering mother of pearl.

I am very happy about this sweetheart and am curious what range this release will have. As mentioned at the beginning, this is "only" a limited edition. Too bad actually.

Nose flatterer
The brand 'Trussardi' has so far always gone a little past me. Only "Inside | Trussardi" could appeal to me fragrance and convince.

Nevertheless, it is now this new release that has managed to inspire me once again to a review....

The pandemic continues to keep us all on our toes. It feels like nothing is the way it used to be. All the more intimately we cling to the things that do us good and make us happy.

Since our passion for fragrances is severely limited by store closures and the lack of testing opportunities, I tend to buy more blind lately. I just can't and don't want to miss out on new fragrance experiences.

The local parcel carrier has thus boom and so had my personal "yellow angel" these days once again a very special treasure in the luggage:

The new (master) work of Trussardi captivates not only with a visually super beautiful and original design. Also the fragrance itself stands out skillfully from the olfactory mishmash.

According to my nose, there is no classically recognizable course here. Rather, the scent is directly after spraying simply DA!

Creamy, powdery and slightly leathery notes combine to form a beguiling cloud that lulls its wearer / her wearer skillfully.

Here nothing stings, here nothing disturbs. Everything sits, wobbles and has air. (I just realize that it is not so easy to put this fragrance into words - let alone compare it with another perfume.)

Imagine a rich and high-quality cream, which manages to work harmoniously and yet still has rough edges.

Sweet noses will come here just as much at their expense, as sweet muffle. The already mentioned cloud wafting around you all day - without ever becoming oppressive or intrusive.
One should be well scented here for every occasion and every season.

By the way, the soft earthy yet warm hues of the bottle are a perfect match for the fragrance! Here the marketing team has really done a great job.

I can only put everyone urgently to the heart to look at this new release times more closely. Also, I simply dare times the forecast that the fragrance will find many followers and cause general enthusiasm. He is finally something different!
