The best version of Vibrant Leather? Astringency is toned down for smoothness, an ambery-musky base that isn’t offensive. Not bad, at all.

Syrupy, medicinal vanilla beneath lots of peppery notes. Shifts between sweetness and dryness. Quite an interesting “anti-vanilla”, nice.

Sweet and cacao-like. Iris is secondary to a chocolatey suede. It’s fine, but it’s not exactly “iris” nor “ebène”. So I’ll pass.

A masterpiece of texture where the dryness of sandalwood is faceted by a nutty vetiver. Biscuity and warm. Not lactonic or gourmand. Great.

Very uniquely starchy, nondescript, fresh. The smell of freshly washed skin, ironed clothes, rain, lived-in bedsheets, a warm hug. Special.

Rouge Chaotique, Crystal Saffron, Cargo de Nuit, Tuscan Leather, and a baguette go to rehab together to become less sweet, quieter, polite.

Surprisingly POAL-adjacent rose—acidic, + a “fluffy” pink pepper note (shoe accord) and saffron. Jammy, but airy. Unexpected, quite nice.

Patchouli Magnetik-adjacent. Instead of wetness we have suede, equal parts seductive and disturbing. Really interesting.
