More confessional than kitchen chair
For me, more of an incense scent than a vanilla scent. The vanilla is only perceptible in the background. Overall, a green, light woody incense fragrance that carries very strong bonds of Santtal33 in itself. In the drydown an unsweet vanilla, which creeps out after about 1 hour, but can not completely displace the incense. At the end then a cedar constantly lurking in the background for their chance takes the helm and does not give it until the end out of the hand.
The name is misleading in my opinion, because the vanilla here never takes the main role.

The end of a long journey
I have been looking for THE sandalwood scent for quite some time. And now I hold the "Holy Grail" of sandalwood scents in my hands, so to speak. I have to thank the perfume and of course a friendly member of this great community from whom I was allowed to buy a small bottling. At the first test, this fragrance captivated me. In my mind's eye I saw a distinguished gentleman in an elegant single-breasted suit in the middle of decadent hustle and bustle.
He radiates a calm, which makes him seem unapproachable but at the same time radiates warmth and reliability.
That's exactly what that smell is. The sandalwood is right there when you first spray it on. Without those annoying and omnipresent top notes of citrus, fruity and all kinds of other curiosities with which marketing experts try to bait the customer.
This fragrance spits honestly from the first minute. But it still has an ace up its sleeve for a later stitch, and that's this subtle leather note. Not prominent, not at all, but not always easily involved in the background. In the foreground, however, it's woody. Sandalwood, which is trimmed in the masculine direction by a hint of cedar wood. By far not like Tam Dao and also completely without this oatmeal milk aroma like in Santal Complet or Sacred Wood.
24 Rue is a fragrance of men through and through mMn. But of course everybody is allowed to wear what he/she likes. The amber in the base I don't perceive so explicitly but what I do perceive is a certain softness that the sandalwood gets without getting creamy. It remains clearly woody. Not a dark wood but rather a friendly light wood. The sillage is clear in the first hour and then retreats "gentleman like" but if you come closer than half a meter or pass by you will definitely notice it.
For me it is definitely the best sandalwood scent even if of course everything is subjective.
Anyway, I have completed part of my journey in the universe of fragrances. Everything that comes along in this direction is bonus.

The increase in liquid...
To come straight to the point: the increase of liquid is superfluous. That's how it went through my head when I sniffed Profondo (at this point I want to thank Scorpio for the bottling).
I have worn Acqua Di Gio pour Homme and säter Essenza for many years. All year round and exclusively. Well, I was young and knew nothing of the parallel universe of perfume enthusiasts here.
Every time a new flanker came on the market, I tested it and hoped to find some of the joy from the past. But it actually became more and more disappointing from flanker to flanker.

Now for the profondo.
A renewed attempt to approach the glorious times of the AdGPH.
The test on the paper strip was already a pleasant experience. At least in the first few seconds. The smell is fresh and almost clean or a little bit soapy. Well, and then I waited for something to develop towards Profumo. Since I thought the two were related to each other. No way.
The cirtual prelude fades and a slightly soapy herbal aroma- light remains on the paper strip.
Full of doubt and amazement I sprayed it on the skin to see what happens there.
Here it is a completely different fragrance experience.
Actually, the circus prelude does not take place on my skin at all. It's only seconds and then it jumps "like a quay out of the box" without a trace directly into a shallow Saubermann chocolate scent. A Profumo light, with a little fantasy, so to speak. This shower gel-like chocolate scent then stays for about 1 hour. Afterwards it darkens a little and loses the Saubermann image, but does not change for the next 3 hours. Until it disappears silently. It only produces a minimal silage in the first half hour. After that you have to press your nose directly on the skin to see him. Little tip: notice the spot, otherwise it will be difficult

All in all a disappointing air act that nothing really does well. It can't be fresh, it can't be aquatic, it can't be aromatic, it has no stamina and for me it is therefore the increase of liquid...

Pure provocation
I am speechless with these evaluations. So this perfume is in the same league as a Tom Ford, Roja or Xerjoff? I am probably definitely not mature enough for the Champions League. Sorry

I had ordered the Discovery Box in expectation of something extraordinary, since ATH is more of a bird of paradise among perfumers. From videos I know that ATH likes the "punch in your face" and that he finds many established fragrances boring but what I saw when I tested this perfume was horrible.
I perceive the scent as follows:
Citric like a lavatory stone, flowery like the room scent - dispenser on the station lavatory and the whole thing covered with a thick cloud of cowshed.
Who wants to smell like that? Is this really commercializable?
Even if I would be devoted to artistic creation, it is at the same time a blow to my nose for my surroundings.
For me the fragrance is a pure provocation but nothing I want to adorn myself with

I probably have to occupy myself with many other scents before this one can venture into my nose cavities again. Or maybe never. But perhaps it is also like with drugs, where you need harder and harder dosages to experience the intoxication. I dunno. I'm still a novice.

Random hits with wow effect
As is so often the case in life, when you search for something and find something completely different than you ever expected. That's what happened to me with perfume and that wonderful scent.
When I decided at the end of last year to plunge into the adventure "fragrances and perfumes", I inevitably landed on Parfumo and was fascinated by this wonderful community from day one. I didn't expect to find something like this. The cultivated tone, the respect for other opinions and this passionate dedication to perfume. Sensational

Well, and now I'm actually sitting here writing my "first-time commentary". That was already an inner fight but this community gives me the confidence to express myself
Besides, there is nothing written here about the Addiction Pétale and that is a pity with this extraordinary fragrance.
Which brings us to the subject:

I was looking for some fragrances for the coming spring and summer. So I ordered some scent samples from Aus-Liebe-zum-Duft and the AP was included as a free sample. Since my focus was on the selected samples, I only got my hands on these little brown sample boxes again a few days later. If only I'd taken care of what's in those boxes sooner. I would have saved myself a lot of painful experiences with the samples.

As I sprayed the AP and sniffed the back of my hand where the scent was waiting to be discovered, a loudly spoken OMG escaped me, followed by the widest grin I've ever had on my face when sniffing a scent. I took another deep "nose pull" from the back of my hand, soaked up the scent with everything my lungs gave off, closed my eyes and was mentally and emotionally in a flower meadow in the brightest sunshine, with fruit trees in full bloom and a deep feeling of happiness. Like when you come to a spot of land that is so beautiful, untouched and idyllic that you don't dare to enter it, so as not to destroy this idyll, but to sit on the edge of it, just to look at this beauty and enjoy it with all your senses.
The fragrance begins immediately with a fresh orange but not with the spiciness of most summer scents, which, with their exaggeratedly citric tones, give you a stab in the cerebellum. Here everything is woven together like a bouquet of flowers. Whereby the fresh note is in the foreground. Unfortunately, I cannot describe what happens then olfactorically in a scientific way, because I do not have enough knowledge about it yet.
It simply becomes round, soft but not blurred. It's like cutting a gemstone. The still somewhat impetuous and perhaps rough is rounded off and he gets soul and shine.
A shine that is very clearly visible for the next 1.5 to 2 hours, even from the surrounding area. Since I live alone, I had to call in a dear colleague who also has fun with scents as a detector at work.
She also took away my doubts that the scent might be too feminine. Your statement: very clear for the man.
What I was missing was the woody component. I just can't find her, even though she's listed in the fragrance pyramid. But I don't miss her either, because the scent is consistent. Soft, flattering and little by little the initially dominant orange leaves more and more room for a little more warmth and the fruity and flowery overall impression.
The durability is with me in such a way that I apply it in the morning on the skin, it projects approx. 1.5 - 2 hours, then still approx. 2-3 hours in the situation is to be made noticeable in the room, if I stay longer in it and then becomes ever more skin-closer however on the next morning still at the upper and undershirt smellable is
What I also find very very pleasant is that this perfume does not get a sourly sharp note at the end as with other fragrances. I don't know if anyone else knows this when you meet work colleagues at the end of a working day, who then smell as if their EDT had already exceeded the sell-by date at the time of purchase and the whole guy is screaming from every pore of his body for a shower.
That doesn't happen here. The fragrance remains pleasant and clean until it has taken its last olfactory breath

All I can say is that I'm happy. Firstly because I found this great fragrance, which is so different from everything else in my collection and yet versatile to wear; and secondly because I have created this comment.
I hope it is written clearly enough to give an impression of the Addiction Pétale.

I wish us all continued good times.
