Burberry Weekend
I'm inordinately picky when it comes to florals, but I like this one. Burberry rarely lets me down. This perfume feels like a walk a field of wildflowers and fresh grass with the sun warming your back.

There are enough bitter notes (I've seen aromatic grassy notes listed. Reseda possibly? Ginger grass? Galbanum?) to cut the sweetness of the floral notes. There's bright citrus to keep it all fresh and fizzy, a delicious honeyed peach note that feels like the warm sun, and a gloriously cozy drydown of musk, cedar, and sandalwood.

Burberry Weekend is a lovely non-heady floral that is warmed up and toned down by fruit and woody notes.

Is it terribly original or groundbreaking? No. Is it done well? Absolutely.

Hanae Mori
Hanae Mori is the kind of scent you wish for whilst thinking of pearls, blush pink roses, and tea length dresses. I think it's quite cute in the way that at first whiff you think "nice, vanilla!" but after a good few moments you realize it's very similar but actually made up of an array of entirely different notes. It's very soft and pretty, even delicate in my opinion. It starts off with a very loud burst of strawberry and sandalwood before drying down to reveal more floral notes. The overall effect is a very creamy scent very close to vanilla yet still a little bit cheeky in the way it goes "haha, vanilla? just kidding!" when you look at the pyramid.

CK Euphoria
The tart fruit salad top notes aren't unpleasant, per se, but definitely aren't what I usually prefer in a scent. But it's worth the wait. Euphoria dries down to the best woody/musky/creamy scent I've ever smelled. This isn't a perfume for the faint of heart. It's got old school powerhouse longevity and sillage while actually bringing something new to the table. This really doesn't smell like everything else out there (although Nicole Richie's signature scent comes close). I do find that this proves to be a little too much too much for the Texas summer heat, and I can't wait to pull this out when the temperature drops.

CK Beauty
My favorite note in this perfume has got to be the musk mallow/ambrette in this. It's like the olfactory equivalent of the Photoshop blur tool. It makes the jasmine so soft and fuzzy and pretty.

Ex`cla-ma`tion by Coty
I purchased this on a whim at the drugstore for nostalgia's sake. (Hello 1990!) Soft musk, creamy sandalwood, warm fleshy fruits, and sweet spice from the cinnamon. Cozy, comforting, and completely unpretentious. The scent is obviously linear and simple, so to bring it a little more personality, I like to wear it on my wrists with a spray of Burberry for Women on my neck/chest after bathing with Vanilla & Sandalwood soap. Sometimes I'll even add a little Kuumba Made Amber & Sandalwood oil on the back of my neck.

Ex`cla-ma`tion does sort of resemble Vanilla Coke or Dr Pepper when first sprayed. That's not a negative to me, however. It smells delicious!
