Fruity-sweet for the summer
Several years ago, the Michael Kors fragrances were widely and extensively promoted in the local Douglas stores. And the young girls, who wanted to be especially chic, had their daddy give them a tote bag from MK for their birthday. In the meantime, the spook is mostly over and the Michael Kors brand has apparently gained a bit of a reputation for being highly sought after by wannabe snobs who can't afford Louis Vuitton. I can't say much about it per se. My relationship with MK has always been rather lukewarm. Fragrances, bags... everything was quite ok (except the Island Bermuda scent, which was a flop for me). No storms of enthusiasm, no horror.
Exotic Blossom was a bargain buy for me and I didn't expect much of it. Even here in the community it is pretty much going under. But I don't think he's so bad now. It reminds me of the summer scents of Escada. Squeaky, fruity, sweet and artificial. But to me it seems a little less watery, quite durable and despite its fruity sweetness, not sugary. I can't smell any hairspray either. But I haven't worn it in cold weather yet.
Mango is dominant from the beginning. Nice and sweet, and not exactly natural, but still pleasant. The rose becomes stronger as the fragrance progresses and has more of soap than flower. But that doesn't matter, it could be the musk. I can't smell any vanilla, it could be that it simply makes the whole thing a bit sweeter. Not much more happens here. So you can't talk about fragrance here.
For me, Exotic Blossom is a fragrance for squeaky teenage girls who don't want to smell like Mexx or Bruno Banani. Sweet, one-dimensional - Sure! But in a way that - if you only spray it twice - it just looks perky and not obtrusive.
Recommended if you like sweet and fruity. But ONLY then

Now I have found "my" clean scent!
Admittedly, clean/laundry fragrances are not my preferred direction in perfume. I like this typical clean scent, but in the end you pay way too much and you don't get anything that you don't get with normal detergents. And if it smells too much like soap, I don't like it either.
It's different with Musc Bleu. Of course, we also have this very characteristic white musk smell. Even if there's nothing about it in the pyramid of scents. There must be a lot of it. But neroli and violet give it a really nice fresh and flowery note. And I don't mean that detergent kind of flowery. The bottom line is that what makes Musc Bleu better and more wearable for me than comparable fragrances is that it doesn't smell like detergent, but like perfume. Sillage, however, is already quite close to the skin after one hour, but the durability is also much better than with comparable fragrances. 3 sprayers accompanied me through the whole day. But I could imagine that it looks different in colder weather.
I did not detect any odour development either. I would recommend Musc Bleu for everyone who likes to wear clean scents, but who wants to smell more than "just" detergent

Noir...? I must have it!
The name suggested a dark, heavy rose scent here. I like that. It's a bit misleading, though. In reality, Rose Noir is a sparkling, feathery summer scent. The rose is present, but always remains transparent and is surrounded by a slightly sour currant note. In the top note, I also smell grapefruit, which makes the fragrance really seem extraordinarily fresh, but it fades quickly as the fragrance progresses. The sour note is quite invigorating, but the base is subtly enhanced by patchouli and moss, which makes the fragrance seem dull. Or it simply doesn't look quite round. Acidic freshness on the one hand, elegant rose on the other and then this dull, earthy base. Maybe it's also because I expected something completely different from the name, but I'm not really satisfied here. The overall impression is quite inconsistent for me
The high quality of this Byredo fragrance is noticeable in its good durability. A few sprayers are sufficient for the whole day, Sillage is discreet but easily perceptible throughout.
Please test here before you buy

Those from Gucci are just as specialists ...
...when it comes to choosing inappropriate names for their fragrances. I recall a discreet floral daytime scent called "Premiere". Under "Rush" I wouldn't have imagined such a peckish sweet squeaky tale (sorry to all who like the scent). And the common scent "Made to Measure" for the gentlemen... But who knows, maybe they do it on purpose and the inappropriate names are some kind of funny kind of humor I don't understand... With Guilty, the fun is certainly taken to the extreme. Inspired by the movie "Sin city" we again have to deal with a flowery perennial. Yes, Gucci can do that. If a woman likes unobtrusive floral scents, she can always go for it with Gucci ("Rush" we leave out for now).
Guilty is a soliflore. He smells like lilac from beginning to end. At the beginning a bit sparkling due to the pepper and with the time a bit darkened. I don't smell any patchouli, only the amber, which combines beautifully with the lilac note and lets the fragrance fade away cuddly. There is nothing more happening here. Durability is much better than expected with a restrained sillage. Guilty will last for one working day and nobody will notice it negatively.
Personally, I would rather wear Guilty in my spare time in summer. For me, Lilac has something summery, relaxing, just the opposite of what the name and the presentation suggest.
In the long run, the scent would certainly be too boring for me. I really just want to wear it once in a while. There is very little happening here, hardly any scent, no unexpected scents, very unexciting business. You can wear it if you want to have a relaxing scent around you, but if you are tempted by the advertising to buy it, you will be bitterly disappointed.

The silk underwear scent
The name is also really well chosen in this case. Silk, delicate, not necessarily a weatherproof everyday companion, translucent, noble, actually unnecessary but very expensive. That says it all in itself.
OK not quite...
The Silk stands next to all the other better designer fragrances at Douglas and Co., doesn't differ much from them, only it's a bit more expensive and a bit more discreet in its appearance. You wear it exclusively for yourself. But why not? Back to the silk theme... the silk underwear case. You don't wear them to get compliments on the street.
But if you think that The Silk is an erotic scent, you are on the wrong track. We are dealing with a delicate, very fresh and at most a bit playful floral scent. Pepper and bergamot make the prelude nice and sparkling. The former also gives the floral heart note of lily of the valley and violet a certain tingling. But the overall impression is really very subtle. The fragrance is a pure skin scent. I only notice a slightly fruity touch of pear after a few hours. The base is then creamy with tonka and musk, but still a little pepper on top.
You can see that The Silk is really high quality. I've been wearing it for 6 hours and at the beginning I thought after half an hour that it would say goodbye right away, but with hardly any sillage it stays in place anyway. In itself I like the scent very much. An elegant, almost ethereal light floral scent, but with a certain brightness due to the pepper. It should not bother you that the surroundings have absolutely nothing of the scent. And then of course the question arises, if you don't mind spending so much money for this discreet pleasure. But this is simply a matter of discretion
