This is not an Elixir dupe
The style of this fragrance is reminiscent of Elixir, but I would not say that this is a clone.
Compared to DSE, Asad is missing the massive amount of spices in the opening (nutmeg and cinnamon) and the licorice in the mid notes.

Overall, Asad is significantly sweater, less spicy and less balsamic. This fragrance turns out to be more casual, almost a dumb reach in fall and winter, while DSE is so much more rich and deep that is hard to pull off casually.

The takeaway message is that (at least to my nose) there are significant differences between Asad and Elixir. I do believe that Asad is a good fragrance, especially given the price, but not an exact dupe (I would quantify the similarity to 80%). The price difference is however well justified by Elixir's superior quality, richness, and performances.

An elegant masterpiece combining metallic lavender, aromatic notes and leather
An exciting masterpiece. Metallic lavender with smoky notes thanks to cypress, made aromatic by the thyme-juniper combination. Barely perceptible leather and saffron give depth to the fragrance.

Visually, this fragrance is reminiscent of a businessman fresh out of a barbershop who finds himself in a huge modern city covered in a light blanket of fog.

After opening, the lavender leaves a little too much room for leather and sandalwood notes.

Given the cost, I still feel like recommending the fragrance.

A consistent musk-centered unisex fragrance
As soon as I tried Musc Panache, I was captivated by its ability to give persistence and cleanliness to the musky note, which forms the heart and base notes around which the fragrance is built.

The scent opens with a crisp citrus combination that gives it life and freshness. After about 15 minutes, the musk note takes over.
There is nothing animalic about this note; rather, it is a much cleaner musk, thanks to the presence of iris.

I was very impressed by the perfumer's ability to give evanescence to the iris note, in the sense that this note (which usually takes over from the others), has the sole purpose of rounding, cleaning up and giving a touch of powder to the undisputed protagonist of the perfume, musk, which is at the same time softened by amber and tonka beans. I detect a touch of soapy vetiver in the drydown.

I think this fragrance is extremely versatile and can be worn in formal, professional or evening contexts, but not in sporty ones. Considering that it is a musk-based fragrance the duration is quite good: it projects moderately for 2-4 hours, after which it sits close to the skin for another 3-4 hours. Sprayed on clothes it lasts for days.
