Medicinal, sweet; but not my cup of tea.
I've heard quite a fair share of good things regarding BR540. So i immediately went to my local niche store to spray some on my wrist.
I was expecting cotton candy but unfortunately all i got is this uncanny "iodine antiseptic + some sweetness" smell, which immediately warranted me to wash it off my wrist.

This frag is so beautiful, so soft; so sweet.
I smell a very prominent mandarin and something peachy, with a little bit of milky sandalwood. It remains soft and smooth, not much abrasiveness like other "fresh out of the shower" fragrances which is what makes me completely ignore the "Pour Femme" nomenclature and douse myself in it.
Longevity is good for a freshie, 6-8hr. Sillage i must try on and update!

An extremely bright floral cocktail.
Trying "Reflection Man" i was expecting animalic white florals, old fashioned + barely palatable. BOY I WAS WRONG, this fragrance is beautiful. Powerful as well (1-2 days), although not very projecting (1m projection) since it has a lot of Iris.
The scent is "Luxurious detergent". Sweet, bright, clean. Starts with citruses, dries down to Iris & Neroli (typical soapy smell), the woods are barely noticeable. The musks used here are the typical bubblegummy laundry ones (Dihydromyrcenol, Cashmeran). Overall a lovely frag, wish it was cheaper.
Also strangely reminds me of many freshie fragrances, just none of them are as bright or delightful as this; shame it's so expensive :((

Smouldering, burning incense... Melancholic.
A fragrance that is mind bending in its strength, with longevity in days and projection in meters although i would expect no less for its incredibly steep price. This frag has many notes listed, but all i can pick up is "wood burning in a pit of sage." It's very edgy and dark. It also makes me feel melancholy, idk why.
Powdery, Sweet, Romantic yet green...
Givenchy Gentleman Intense IMO is easily the best scent in the whole lineup, a fresh, sweet yet powdery frag that you can wear all year around. Pulls a few compliments as well.
Upon a first whiff you will smell: Citruses, Cardamom and a sharp Cypress accord. Alongside the greenness, the opening has a boozy "barrel of liqueur" quality to it. Which lasts for an hour or so, then it slowly dries down to a sweet Iris base. And it stays there for about 8 hours, slowly projecting less and less. In total the longevity is about 9-10 hours on my skin, solid projection for 3 hours. Excellent for an EDT! Sensational.
Would i recommend it? Yes, buy the biggest bottle you can. I'll probably do that.
