Arpege Edp
Ahh..Arpege...
I just sprayed this and I want to sit in this scent cloud forever..lol. No seriously though, what a gorgeous fragrance. Absolutely vintage on par with Chanel No 5 and L'Heure Bleue. I like to shop around looking for fragrances sometimes similar or in the same family to what I love that don't break the bank and this is a good one. A bright intense floral, powdery fragrance full of aldehydes. What's not to love?

A Desert Familiar
I find this fragrance reminds me a lot of L'air du Desert Marocain...Does anyone else get this? I can't speak for Grand Soir because I've never smelled it. But these desert type of fragrances are made in abundance more than most know. I have other fragrances similar to this, so this blend is not unheard of at least to me. Jovoy's Ambre Premier and Chanel's Coromandel also comes to mind. Same middle eastern interpretation of the desert vibe which I love with the warmth and sweetness from the amber, vanilla and added spiciness with a lighter oud. But this fragrance is fresher and has an added cardamom that lightens it up while it's still got that warmth and spiciness. This is a nice high quality fragrance at a fraction of the cost. It comes in a clear dome shaped container and has a velvety base on the inside which makes it stand above the rest. The bottle has trees on the cap and front like a bonsai tree which makes it highly unusual, but as I said before..I'm a bit of an adventurous person, so I like . Eternal Oud is apart of the Lataffa Pride Collection as well which is suppose to be scents uniquely made only by the house. I love the presentation and fragrances I have bought from the collection so far which are Eternal Oud, Awaan and Nebras and wish to add more that speak to me personally.

A Breath of Fresh Air
Awaan is so good. I hear many refer to this fragrance as a Coco Mademoiselle dupe. It's partially true, but not really. Coco Mademoiselle has a crispness to it because of the aldehydes that this doesn't have first off. It really is its own creation. There is a slight Coco Mademoiselle resemblance with that patchouli citrus, musky Chypre type blend in a sense...yes..but this fragrance as a whole has a fresh citrus juicy aroma, like fresh juice, from the tops and it remains all the way through that's very refreshing yet sweet in a different way we don't usually always get. Usually we get citrus from the tops that eventually fade as a perfume transforms in its different stages. Which is fine. But this is just nice to keep it going all the way through. So yes there is patchouli but there is also extra added spices that mixes with a sweet floral jasmine and orange blossom that makes the mix so interestingly sweet and intense. It's not like the grapey fragrances that we are use to because it has that middle eastern twist uniquely mixed in. Awaan has so many layers to it yet it works which is why it's so exciting. It also has a candy like quality just like Chinatown does from Bond No9. Which makes me love it all the more.

So it's serious, yet playful. Mature yet well rounded..full bodied and it lingers. It's beautifully aromatic and just pulls you in. And yes because there is so much going on it makes you question what all is happening in this fragrance which makes it so much more interesting. But what I love about it, which is the best part of the fragrance you love, is it's consistent all the way through and you never loose anything you would like to keep which makes me enjoy it even more and all the way to the end. I also love when fragrances develop but the fragrance smells so lovely I prefer it to stay just where it is.

It's so unique and different from mainstream, at least to me personally, that it is a breath of fresh air. I love to see identity or character from a fragrance that makes it unique, you know different from the usual. Lataffa achieved that with this fragrance. I'm considering getting a back-up bottle of it, it's that good and so affordable too. I really enjoy Lataffa as a whole and want to collect more of their creations and dupes. The presentation, because this is from the Lataffa Pride Collection is really top notch. The bottle is heavy and durable. It's in olive green and also has circular dotted gold plates all around the bottle along with a heavy gold cap. The box has a velvety foam inside that presents the bottle and its incased in an olive and gold box that slides out that is extremely durable and fancy. I just love what Arabian perfumery brings to the world. And at such affordable prices. I'm just so impressed that this type of perfumery still exists in the world and it encourages me to enjoy perfumery more once again and want to try everything that is being put out.

Chocolate lovers dream
I remember when this came out I bought it in the oil form and I just could not get the hype around the oil version of the fragrance because it never projected for me and it was extremely waxy and it smelled more vanilla than chocolate.

Fast forward to this beauty right here and I was instantly taken back. This is incredible.

This reminds me a lot of Montale's Chocolate Greedy without the fruity minty tops and fuzziness it has. Just a purer form of the chocolate. It's delicious and warm. And at the price you find it at now it's such a bargain. I don't know when the perfume version was released, but I am so happy that it was because I find it far superior than the oil version and will always continue to buy it. Plus you can layer it with anything. If you would like to try what Montale would smell like and couldn't afford it this is a good option. Love it!

Coco is a Classic!
Coco was the first fragrance I got from Chanel. I tried them all. And I loved many of them equally, but Coco truly related to me as my type of fragrance. When I first got her back in 2011 at Saks Fifth Ave on 5th I tested her and she was amazing. But it wasn't until I opened my own box for the first time back at home and was able to smell her fully that I was intoxicated by how beautiful and classy she really is. First off, when I sprayed her I had never smelled anything that classy before I thought dang this stuff smells expensive. It made me feel grown up.. it made me feel like a woman. I knew Chanel No 5 was filled with Aldehydes and that fragrance is special in its own way and there is nothing like that to me on the market, but this is like it's younger mature sister..it has that aldehyde feel but lighter and fresher and sparkly with the citrus. As the tops begin to transform, you also get beautiful spices of cinnamon, frankincense and lovely roses all combined with this lovely amber. In the end, you are left with this lovely, sweet yet sophisticated fragrance that is truly overwhelming to me. It was a love at first sniff. And I treasure my bottle from 2011 because this fragrance lasts for hours easily 8+ till the next day. I will always own a bottle of this fragrance because this is what makes me love perfumes so much..the mystery..the whole experience of something profoundly new and special yet classic. This fragrance is a masterpiece.
