Fresh, floral, harmonious
Bamboo Eau de Parfum opens with a fresh, slightly citrus impression. The initial freshness feels invigorating and gently transitions into a warm, floral heart after about 30 minutes. As it develops, a harmonious interplay of floral nuances and soft warmth unfolds, reminiscent of the feeling of a fresh forest meadow in early summer - natural, gentle, and feminine without sweetness.
Overall, the fragrance leaves a balanced, pleasant impression: fresh in the opening, warm and floral in the dry-down, with a subtle natural note that makes it versatile and thus always wearable for my wife, even if she might be indecisive. The bottle is high-quality and pretty. It evokes, as the name suggests, bamboo. However, neither the name nor the shape is a program; there is a bit of green present, hence the association with the forest meadow, but definitely (or unfortunately) no bamboo.
Bamboo Eau de Parfum is therefore a subtle all-rounder with versatile character (leisure, work, sports, going out) without excessive sillage and decent longevity.

Writer draws attention
Writer had to be tested as an alternative to
Sauvage Eau de Toilette, the latter I only knew from a sample, while I acquired the Writer directly as a bottle due to the press. Upon application,
Writer feels like a wake-up call, a splash of cold water on the face - fresh and invigorating. It starts bright, clear, and spicy. In contrast to Sauvage, it feels wetter, almost damp upon application. Once this initial impression fades, the structure reminiscent of Sauvage reveals itself. The spiciness is present without being overwhelming, the freshness is penetrating but not aggressive.
In the drydown, a pleasantly clean-woody veil with a hint of sweetness settles on the skin.
The sillage is moderate, and the longevity impresses with over 7 hours. The bottle feels high-quality and is at least somewhat reminiscent of the original Sauvage bottle.
I find
Writer to be a safe choice that you can't go wrong with. It is modern and wearable, even though the fragrance's popularity is certainly immense and it has a high recognition factor. But not everything that is common is bad. All in all,
Writer is a great dupe of
Sauvage Eau de Toilette with an excellent price-performance ratio for those who can forgo the original.

The sailor dreams of depth…
Since I like aquatic scents, it was natural to test this one.
Kokain Seemann Intense is a moist-fresh fragrance with maritime depth. A salty breeze is noticeable, and there are also algae present, with green notes wafting in from a distance. Clear aquatic notes meet synthetic warmth. In the base, moss and Ambroxan combine to create a sweet, moist, and persistently fresh scent.
Sillage and longevity are moderate, and the bottle matches in color and appears high-quality.
Kokain Seemann Intense smells of the sea on the skin and wanderlust - wet-clean, intense. Directly following the cliché of Rammstein's sailor.
In summary, good shower gel vibes with a good price-performance ratio.

Light Fragrance, Heavy Price
With an LV fragrance (Imagination),
Symphony was included as a sample bottle, which I have now worn several times.
I must say, the first impression is delightful and really stands out.
Immediately after spraying, a symphony of freshness reveals itself with a distinctly citrus orientation. The opening phase is bright and unfortunately somewhat fleeting - characterized by a grapefruit-bergamot mix, perhaps with a hint of mandarin alongside the indicated orange. All the fruits are fresh, as if just before ripening; the sweetness is not yet fully developed, which conveys a sense of freshness and a bit of green in the opening.
After a few minutes, the fragrance becomes rounder and softer. The fruitiness remains but loses intensity. Green, slightly herbal nuances emerge - I was reminded of freshly cut grass. In the heart, it feels calmer, remains harmonious and even, with the ethereal quality of the citrus peels persisting.
After two to three hours, the intensity decreases significantly. A mild, slightly citrusy, somewhat warm (ginger), still a bit green base remains, which is only perceptible close to the skin.
A pretty opulent bottle gives the fragrance a home; its longevity is about five hours for me, and about seven hours for my wife, which is quite good for such a fresh scent. The sillage is discreet, and that’s not the focus of this fragrance. It is definitely unisex wearable.
The overall impression feels clean and transparent, perhaps with a hint of aquatic, without sweetness or heaviness. In everyday life, it feels well-groomed, unobtrusive, and simply pleasant, somehow close to nature. Overall,
Symphony shows a clear progression from zesty-citrus to green-soft-warm.
However, the very high price remains, for which one could probably acquire 2-3 other high-quality fragrances. Those who are not deterred by this can enjoy the luxury of owning a high-quality and wonderful fresh fragrance.

Fleeting Riverbank Aquatic
In search of a fresh aquatic fragrance, I stumbled upon
Sous Le Pont Mirabeau while reading. Despite somewhat mediocre reviews on average, but especially due to the controversial assessments, the scent piqued my curiosity, and so it was tested.
The opening of
Sous Le Pont Mirabeau unfolds directly watery fresh, not Mediterranean, more like freshwater, somewhat one-dimensional. The initial impression feels synthetic-technical before the fragrance slowly calms down and gains a bit of transparency.
Once the opening settles, an aquatic heart emerges, reminiscent of a river in the shade of a bridge. It could be a pedestrian bridge over a stream, a highway bridge over an inland body of water. Perhaps the scent most closely resembles a riverbank area with slow water and some greenery in the water and reeds. In any case, it is definitely not Mediterranean but rather evokes an inland body of water.
In the heart, very faint fruity aromas complement the freshwater aquatic. A fine salty note creates a bit of movement. Unfortunately, I can hardly perceive the components of the aforementioned base notes, e.g. something woody. Neither sweet nor floral, it flows along, with a hint of vetiver in the drydown and barely noticeable sweetness. Thus, the clear scent trickles by me.
In the end, I must unfortunately leave the path along the water much too early against my will. The fleeting longevity is only two to three hours for me, the sillage is moderate after the opening, quickly diminishing after 15 minutes, and continues to decline thereafter.
Sous Le Pont Mirabeau is more of a mood picture than a perfume in the classical sense. It opens promisingly, but the flow unfortunately noticeably reduces to a trickle too quickly. A moment too short by the riverbank that passes - but perhaps that is exactly the point - a mood picture - I don't want to linger forever under the bridge.
