Dear "First" sent an exciting walking letter on its way with 9 numbered samples.

I have chosen this fragrance and would now like to try to describe my impressions.

The fragrance starts fresh and citrusy. I suspect bergamot and tangerine in the top note. As it progresses, it becomes soft and floral, here I have to think of peonies or freesias. Underlying the whole thing is a gentle sweetness, it could be musk or even a dash of vanilla.

Although the liquid is clear and transparent, this fragrance seems pink to me, it fits perfectly into spring and I would rather assign it to young women under 30. It makes you feel clean and well-groomed. The durability is quite good, 6-7 hours you can perceive him well.

I hope I'm not completely off with my assessment.... ?

My new autumn sweetheart!
The other day, while browsing the Micallef homepage this scent caught my eye. Since it was just reduced in price, I thought I could dare to start a sharing. Already the next day it was full and I could send the order. Already after one week I held the sweetheart in my hands and what can I say, I did not regret this blindbuy! :-)

Now for the fragrance:

Right after spraying I think, yes, vanilla with some patchouli and a few spices. But not sweet and heavy or even earthy, but light, subtle, floating. After a few minutes then, - ah, here comes something else! - the tangerine joins in. Also it not sweet and juicy, but rather tart, like the skin.

In the course of time the fragrance becomes softer and velvety. The ylang ylang prevails. It reminds me a little bit of "Ylang in Gold" in terms of structure and scent impression. One could almost think that this is the autumn/winter version.

In the base, the sandalwood gives the fragrance more substance and makes it more and more cuddly. In the background you can perceive the tart tangerine. All in all it envelops you somehow floating, like a very soft scarf or a cuddly woollen blanket.

The durability is enormous, I think it is also perceived by the environment, but never felt as disturbing. I find the fragrance very complex and interesting and at the same time incredibly flattering. Really beautiful! :-)

This smell is an insult!
I've read a lot about him here. But when I got him under the nose of a salesman at the airport, I was really shocked.

How could someone want to smell like that, I thought? Or how can you spray that scent on yourself and not fear that someone might alert the fire department. Or the smoke alarm goes off...

In the first few seconds you really smell authentic pure smoke! Not cigarette smoke, but campfire right under your nose! With that he was directly checked off for me as a perfume.

A few weeks later I received some samples of a perfume. As soon as I entered the hallway, a sweet, smoky and super pleasant, even tasty scent came my way. When I opened the envelope, I realized that one of the tubes had opened and leaked. It was the "At The Fireplace"!

Crazy, how could a fragrance with such a deterrent top note be so delicious at the base? Now I was curious and ordered a bottling. :-)

And what can I say? The smell knocks me out. It's not just because it smells so good. But the kicker is, it's so cleverly designed. Almost like a really good magic trick. Yeah, he's got this brazen look, like a magician, leading the audience behind the light before their amazed eyes. He makes me laugh and looks snotty to me! :-)))

In the beginning is the fire, you almost want to rub your eyes because you feel as if you are wrapped in a cloud of smoke. If you hold your nose to the sprayed skin, it smells exactly like a charred piece of wood! (How do they do that? :-))

But then, when the cloud lifts, what has been conjured up comes to light. No, not a pink elephant, not even a cute white rabbit!

It's a big bowl of candy! It smells warm and deliciously of kramell and vanilla, sinfully sweet! Totally hidden and hardly noticeable, the orange blossom adds a minimal acidity, which makes it even juicier and creamier.

From here on you would like to sit in it and take a bath in it! This combination of this exuberant, delicious sweetness and the fire that continues to blaze beside it is simply so special and unique!

It's a combination you never expected and yet it fits so perfectly. For me, the most surprising fragrance of the year. He is cheeky and mischievous, he tricked me and in the end he conquered my heart!

My nose is broken!
My nose is broken...

...how else could I like this scent? The scent pyramid alone is more like a deterrent to me. I like incense only conditionally, raspberries I eat gladly, in the smell they disturb me mostly rather. I'm just getting a little cautious about leather and I can't stand Oud at all!

And when you then read the statements, you'd rather run away screaming than voluntarily let this scent touch your skin.

We're talking about snack stands, ham, bacon and even baby barf.

And what do I smell? For me it smells pleasantly sweet like creamy nut pudding! The single small raspberry lies only as decoration on top. Yeah, it actually smells a little burnt by the incense. But just that bridges the gap for me from dessert scent to portable perfume.

I'd wear it! I'd love to! Even if that means that I might have to spend this day alone... :-)

So if someone has some of this terrible broth left and wants to get rid of it, I would sacrifice myself! ;-)

Quite apart from the fact that the Secret of Love flacons are really my absolute favorite flacons!

Kids don't like asparagus!

Most kids don't eat vegetables that much. And no asparagus at all! Also I was one of those kids.

Sometime on a hot summer day, I must have been about 15 years old, I was in an outdoor pool (at that time it was called Badeanstalt:-)). And suddenly I felt an unbridled appetite for asparagus...

I myself was so shocked by this change of heart that I haven't forgotten it until today (many many years later ;-)). I found myself in a phase of my life in which one considers it the most important to have an irrefutable own opinion about everything.

Whether it was at that time due to the hormonal change of the body, or perhaps to an unconscious association of the chlorine smell, who knows...

Well, at least I like, no actually I *love* since then asparagus, with ham, potatoes, sauce Hollandaise ... mmmm delicious!

What does all this have to do with "ylang in gold"? I felt almost exactly the same with the scent!

The first time I had him under my nose, I thought, "Pooh, much too sweet! I don't like it!" From time to time I sniffed at my little sample, but still found it unbearable.

Until one day for inexplicable reasons I was suddenly overcome by an irrepressible desire for exactly this fragrance. And since then he is one of my favorites and has a firm place in my collection.

I particularly enjoyed it this autumn when I splashed in the Atlantic on a really hot day in southern France and waved "Ylang in Gold" around my nose. For me the perfect summer-sun-beach-joy-of-life-scent-!

It radiates so bright and cheerful, so sweet and soft, tender and at the same time so strong, somehow transparent, but nevertheless complex. It's worth giving him a chance!
