An Angel in the Caribbean
I am the queen! Of blind buys. And lately they have been piling up; fortunately there have been almost no failures. Latest acquisition: The new summer Angel. Very daring, since Angel EDP and EDT don't suit me at all and most flankers don't either. But here I read something about coconut, pineapple, creamy cocktails and summer fun! And although my perfume chest with summer fragrances and otherwise bursting at the seams, it had to be this one too.

And I am thrilled! Because here we have times an angel that fits me so right. I had not really expected. Just the bottle alone, which can stand without help: A dream! Even for that it was worth it. It starts with a lot of fruit and discreet coconut, but the whole thing is not sweet-pappy, but rather fresh-fruity. Very appetizing. Slowly the fragrance becomes sweeter, but never too sweet! And it comes, the famous Angel DNA with chocolate praline and patchouli. And it stays too. But that does not matter at all, because it is soft and feathery on my skin.

I think the combination of fruit/coconut and chocolate/patchouli makes for an interesting contrast. Because it is definitely a summer fragrance, but a gourmandiger, but definitely not as sweet or even slaying as one might think. I envision this scent lasting through the summer for many occasions. On very hot days, I would probably wear him but rather in the evening.

On me, Iced Star is fruity and creamy with a chocolaty patchouli twist, with the fruity softening but still remaining audible the entire time. The sillage is moderate, the durability very good.

Angel Iced Star makes me dream of a vacation in the Caribbean. Sipping delicious fruit cocktails on the beach, marvel at the sunset and dance barefoot - hach!

Rosy-creamy-cared-for feel-good fragrance
Yes, what's going on now? I have so many fine, exquisite fragrances in my collection that no cattle are interested in, and with this little cheapo here, people are running after me and asking what a great perfume I would wear? Since my mom is visiting, sprays itself in my bathroom with it (she may use all my fragrances!) and can hardly get with enthusiasm, so I immediately bought her one too?

Interesting. Usually, pretty much no one ever takes notice of how I smell. I don't wear these either. At least not in public places, at home I do. And I usually don't test drugstore scents much either. Not because I'm a snob, but because for some time now I've been noticing a very particular synthetic-cheap vibe in drugstore scents that is common to a lot of drugstore scents. To my nose, anyway.

This fragrance was brand new on the shelf and caught my eye by its color and the hand-flattering bottle, and I thought so in passing, och, take times a spray, it can not hurt. And before I knew it, I was standing at the checkout with it. And as if that wasn't enough, I was standing at the checkout counter with it one more time. For Mom. And again. A Bunker bottle for me. Because it's so really beautiful!

It wasn't listed when I already had it, so I had to rely on my own nose. But (Pentecostal) rose I smelled out too. Essential is not sweet, smells floral-rosy-creamy, well-groomed and very pleasant. Four, five sprays may be it quite, then run one said colleagues after. The fragrance is cheap, but does not smell like that. There is no scent progression. He remains essentially the same from beginning to end.

The only drawback: the durability. After a good three hours, only a tiny breath can be heard. I do not mind. The bottle fits well in the handbag, then it is just re-sprayed. Is really no problem at the price.

Conclusion: A successful drugstore fragrance for all situations, which smells more expensive than it is. For all seasons, for doctor's visits, sick and other visits, for before and after sports or for business - with this fragrance you can not really go wrong!

The scent of autumnal happiness!
Again and again I am surprised that some fragrances pass by my nose for years, or even decades. This was the case, for example, with Euphoria, with Emporio Armani She and now with Burberry for Woman. I certainly tested it at some point, but I have also tested many other Burberrys, and it has never been my brand. So far nobody had made it into my collection

Now I was once again looking for a fragrance that is autumnal but suitable for the day. That is not intrusive, warm and soft and only moderately sweet. Which is already pleasing to my own and other noses in the early morning, which is not annoying or tiresome, but is nevertheless well perceptible. One with which one feels comfortable all day long. And of course there was no such fragrance in my opulent collection ;) Anyway, now, late bloomer that I am, I came across Burberry for Woman, and it meets all the above criteria.

It smells to me of a walk in autumn, my favourite season. The air is cool and clear, the sky blue, the sun is shining. I am snuggled up in my warm jacket and in my scarf. The warm scent of apples, wood and vanilla envelops me, I feel safe. The colourful leaves rustling under my feet. I enjoy the splendid play of colours of the leaves, hold my face in the last rays of the sun and smile. I breathe deeply the spicy scent of the forest. I'm happy!

Soapy, tangy and creamy bouquet
This EDP was once again a not so successful blind purchase. Since I had tested the EDT and found it good at the time, I thought that for the transition from summer to fall, the EDP might be the better choice. The comments and statements read just wonderful! br />

I had imagined a lovely, (sun-) creamy fragrance with a very slight sweetness and pleasant floral notes, also a little denser than a "normal" summer scent. Fiddlesticks. Because unfortunately neither Mediterranean nor any other summery associations want to come to my mind. Unfortunately, I also have no trace of beach feeling and sun cream. Not to mention sunny alleys...

What I smell is a short citric, slightly bitter prelude, then it immediately becomes rather flowery and unfortunately also a bit soapy. I had already read SEIFIG here and that should have warned me. The smell is completely unsweet, not fresh, but not heavy either, at least not by my standards. I don't notice any fruits at all. In the base I can actually detect a light, pleasant (sandalwood) creaminess, which I like quite well.

All in all, the EDP is rather harsh in my case, but the creamy stuff just makes it turn the corner and just scrapes past the scratchiness. I don't find him as sweet as I had hoped. Despite the very pleasant basis, I would only give it the title "meaningless". At least on my skin.

Even when trying to smell the beauty with a lot of oooohhmm, visualizing corresponding mediterranean (beach) images and self-hypnosis including brain-nose-dislocation I can't get any corresponding associations. That is a great pity. But after 7 years of perfumo you should know that you should always test scents on the skin first. I just can't help it. Blind purchases are simply my wonder bags for adults!

Between yes, no and maybe
If I hadn't read here that this fragrance is supposed to be similar to Baccarat Rouge, I would never have tested the scent! The girl (Ariana Grande) doesn't tell me much, and the bottle, oops, well, I'm not the target group. But since I have a sample of Baccarat Rouge here, I'm curious. So I tested Cloud on the road, did some work in between and wondered what smelled so great there. On the way back he had to say ;)

Cloud is a two-in-one fragrance. In the aura I can actually see a certain similarity to Baccarat Rouge. When you spray like this, go out and come back in, there's actually a fragrance wafting in that direction. I really like that!

But I can also understand all those who say that Cloud bears absolutely no resemblance to Baccarat Rouge. If you sniff directly at the sprayed area, even after two or more hours, you won't notice anything at all about Baccarat Rouge. I smell a warm, fluffy, creamy scent with a very subtle coconut note, and the whole thing is very pleasant, unobtrusive and not at all artificial, as I actually expected or feared.

So are they similar? Yes. No. Or maybe they are. A little bit

But what I can say with certainty is that I am more than pleasantly surprised by this scent. Cloud doesn't smell synthetic to me at all, but rather round, warm and very pleasant, with a sweetness that is not overwhelming or sticky - and with hints of Baccarat Rouge.

Still, I wouldn't say that Cloud is a scented twin. Anyone who wants to buy Cloud as a cheap substitute for Baccarat Rouge will probably be disappointed. But if you like the direction, with Cloud you will definitely get a nice and affordable fragrance!

By the way, you can remove the cloud from the bottle. That doesn't look quite like children's perfume in the bathroom anymore ;)
