Marrakech in a bottle
Wow, it starts very intensely. One spray is enough to send my sense of smell on a journey or catapult me to another continent.

At first, the fragrance is just as overwhelming as the souk in Marrakech. The narrow aisles are bustling with people, spices, jewelry, leather goods and all kinds of beautiful trinkets.

We step into our riad and treat ourselves to something luxurious. There is a pool in the courtyard, surrounded by cozy futons with cushions on patterned carpets. The many lanterns bathe the scene in golden light. We can hear the muted hubbub of the pulsating medina. We make ourselves comfortable and are served mint tea.

Suddenly, Ambre sultan Eau de Parfum is very gentle, warm and soft. The lively spiciness subsides and makes way for calm and security. And this is the moment when the fragrance becomes so incredibly beautiful. Perfectly balanced, simply dreamlike.

Some points deducted for the bottle. The spray head is supplied separately, but arrived directly with a broken tube. Repairable but simply an unpleasant surprise. The label could definitely be of better quality.

Flowery embrace and warm cinnamon buns
Starts very fruity, citrusy, sweet-floral. Oh oh, it's either going to turn pungent or it's going to get really soft... Tension is rising...

Then... Wait a minute, is someone walking past here somewhere with cinnamon buns? Or is it rum? (It's not listed anywhere, but there's something smoky and rum-like...)

Then tadaaaa: rose & geranium - a flowery embrace in a sweet sugar coating.

And then the oud enters the room: Hello, here I am. Came to stay.

With spicy, soft friends in tow: benzoin, amber, musk and so on.

Intense, lasts forever on the skin. two spritzes are almost too much of a good thing.

Unisex leather treasures
The Scirocco sample was actually given to me by my trusted perfumery for my husband and with the packaging I put it straight into the masculine category for myself. But as a little nose for fragrances, I got out the test bottle at home and sprayed it onto the paper packaging. Oh.

I was already smitten. What is THIS incredibly beautiful, special fragrance? I had to try it directly on my skin. Oh oh oh, it was even better there: lots of apple and resin at the beginning, very fruity, spicy and leathery, super interesting.
The spiciness also lasts very well for some time (in my case, the top notes actually last for almost 2 hours) and the initially very rough leather becomes sooooo beautifully soft over time, especially when the floral notes join in. In the middle, it is such a beautiful, elegant floral-leathery fragrance for many hours, which is why you can also wear it very well in spring and on summer evenings. And to top it all off, the soft vanilla and tonka bean make the leather very warm and cozy. I love!!!

It also smells very feminine on my skin, as I said, I can smell a lot of floral notes. I also let my husband try it, of course, and it definitely smells spicier/more leathery on him. I find it absolutely fascinating how differently the Scirocco can affect the skin, a very complex and exciting fragrance!

From juicy, fresh strawberries during the day to dark strawberry liqueur at midnight
In the first 10 minutes after spraying, a very surprisingly light sweet-juicy strawberry-peach scent for Xerjoff - delicious!

Innocently sweet, dreamy, playful.

Then a change of scene: as soon as the lightness fades, innocent reverie turns into desire. Amber and Safran loll lasciviously on the artfully curved recamiere made of velvety soft velour leather. Strawberries and cream on the table next to it. The whole thing is almost clichédly seductive.

Balsamic benzoin and oud approach. It becomes very warm, a beguilingly beautiful harmony.

The strawberry resonates for a long time and I find its transformation very exciting: juicy, light fresh-from-the-field strawberry during the day becomes a dark strawberry liqueur at midnight

For me, it's more of a night-out fragrance, as it's very seductive, balsamic and sophisticated with an addictive factor

Eucalyptus wreath and lemon tea
I finally made it onto the Ffern list and was looking forward to the first fragrance delivery - Winter 25 - like a little child!

I have to admit, the unique marketing makes the fragrance an incredibly beautiful overall experience. The unpacking experience has already been very skillfully and lovingly designed, you can tell that a lot of passion and lifeblood goes into the brand and fragrances and that alone makes Ffern special for me.

Citrusy, yes, Winter 25 is definitely that - but unlike many other opinions, I don't find it spring/summery at all. For me, the eucalyptus is very prominent - it even plays the leading role in my little mental movie: I've just tied a wreath of eucalyptus branches and hung it on my wall as decoration. With a hot cup of lemon tea in my hand, I look at it with satisfaction. As I take a sip, I can still smell the eucalyptus on my hands. I have opened the window for a quick airing and the icy wind carries in the scent of the forest, the snow-covered mossy ground.

For me, the scent really lasts all day. But maybe I'm also very sensitive to this, as I generally wear very few citrusy fragrances or eucalyptus-heavy fragrances - a very small amount is enough to make the unfamiliar scent very present again and again.

To be honest, I'm still a little undecided as to whether the eucalyptus isn't a little too much for me..
