A love that never ends
I am writing my review on the much-maligned new version, which has unfortunately lost its power, but still holds its magic and luster.

I knew HP already longer, then I wore him even times to work, of course, only with mini dosage. The fragrance has always been very positive. Then I lost track of the fragrance, and got to know other, supposedly better candidates!

But I have never forgotten Hypnotic Poison! Last year we could, me and my better half after an endlessly long winter (in the lockdown), finally once again to Lake Constance, it was so beautiful! Of course we got thirsty as time went on, and the waitresses at the lakeside promenade were very nice and friendly. And we were always surrounded by such a beautiful fragrance. So fine-spicy-oriental, smelling of vanilla. Not a cloud of fragrance, but just a whiff when the lady approached us.
Immediately I knew that was Hypnotic Poison, we knew each other from before. And I knew, I must have the fragrance again. It was like a hint with the fence post, if you know that.

If you look at the fragrance notes, Hypnotic Poison was unfortunately robbed of its power, which has happened to many "strong" fragrances lately. On the page of Dior are only listed as a top note the bittersweet almond, in the heart note jasmine and the slightly spicy vanilla in the base. At least there is it but still to buy, you can be almost happy about it.

I myself smell as the very first only almonds, nothing else. The floral notes unfortunately go a little below, also the jasmine note is not very present with me. Coconut I no longer smell out, which I now find not so bad. Everything spicy is only subtly and discreetly perceptible. On my skin is after a little while only the vanilla there, but, no bored vanilla, but with a delicate, very slightly smoky woody spice underlaid. Almost like a subtle cream, only more multifaceted and after a while only a skin scent, but a very nice one. I still enhance this effect with my roll-on from HP, which I consider a good invention.
In my environment, the red apple is no longer worn at all, since grad other fragrances are more popular.....but, I would not care if so.

Unmistakable and unforgotten, the beauty of yesteryear reappears and draws me back under its spell! Is not so bad, if you do not immediately fall with the door in the house.....or?!

On the website of Dior, by the way, a sentence is quoted, I wanted to get rid of at the end, because I find the really very appropriate:
Hypnotic Poison is not worn, it wears you. Period.

It is well known that taste is a matter of dispute
I had been rather disappointed by Dior lately, concerning new releases and also settings, e.g. Midnight Poison or the many Miss Diors. If you fall in love with a version, you can't be sure that it will still exist in a few years

Just like this J'adore L'Absolu. I once had the version from 2007, a lush sensual creation that I really liked very much. I never owned the 2014 one myself, but I found it very successful. And one day I missed my Absolu from back then.

And now, there's another new one, I'm upset after all. But, you wouldn't be a perfume, I was brave and left the scent on my skin.
And I must agree with my previous commentator, first a flower overkill of the finest kind! Otherwise I perceive the fragrance completely differently, but I can understand her disappointment.

I first have to filter out the individual flowers, but with time the jasmine blossom predominates, rose and magnolia sink. It also crystallizes a slight freshness, the orange blossom sends greetings!

I'll say straight away, jasmine and orange blossom lovers will enjoy this slightly soapy fragrance! Everyone else will find that too much in flowers. I don't find J'adore L'Absolu too sweet, but a nice balancing act between fresh-fruity and floral-sensuous, slightly woody ending.
This contrast makes this new variant something special, as it is both suitable for everyday use and unobtrusive as well as fine, noble and sensual! The golden nectar-like liquid fits perfectly!

I do not find this Absolu as lavish as its predecessors for a long time, seems to be a sign of modernization. Tuberose and ylang ylang are missing, which makes this fragrance not quite as intensely sweet. However, the durability is quite satisfactory. The DNA traces of the normal J'adore are only vaguely to be guessed, in the L'Absolu of 2007 they were even more pronounced.
If the J'adore L'Or is too heavy and too expensive for you, maybe you should try this new Absolu.

I find this reinterpretation of 2018 really successful and like to wear it very much, it will certainly fit even better in the coming spring.
However, one cannot be sure how long this version will remain on the market. The jasmine and rose fields from Grasse are surely all harvested one day, there will be something new again!

Dior walks in the footsteps of Chanel
Of course I had to test this fragrance, too, because I thought Dior would finally be able to dare something new again.
We were disappointed by the name alone, not only by the classic "Joy" by Jean Patou, but also by the fact that the "J'adore in Joy" by Dior already exists. Nevertheless, there was still such a spark of hope that the scent might tear it out after all.
In my favourite perfumery, where I hadn't been in for a while (I'm pretty happy right now), a Joy sample was waiting for me. You can spray yourself generously with it, after only one sprayer the scent was in 10 minutes no longer to be guessed.
After another 5 minutes Joy smelled like Allure, EdT, from Chanel, only perhaps with a more modern top note. Joy also didn't show me the facets of the initially fresh and spicy Allure, which then becomes soft and creamy, although such were predicted.
So Dior brings out a fragrance that actually already exists. By the way, I made the direct comparison on my skin, can not only write this from the memory of Allure.
That's why I won't buy Joy, because he doesn't offer enough for the price, durability and sillage can't keep up with Chanel. Allure is the better choice for me, also the cheaper one!

Still, I don't want to claim that Joy is a bad scent.
It is suitable for everyday use, citric-floral-creamy, fine and delicate, not too sweet. A soft musk base keeps very quiet, but still on the skin for some time! A very pleasant perfume of the day. I guess you can't go wrong with that scent. But I dare doubt whether the price/performance ratio is right.

Which target group Dior wants to address this time is not quite clear to me.
Or is it?! Just as with "Gabrielle" by Chanel this groaning was, however, this smell had nevertheless no similarity with an already brought out smell. So, so to speak, to bring out a classic in a modern and nice little dress that everyone wants to wear?

To the very sweet fraction, this fragrance is certainly too "unsweet"! They stay with La Vie est Belle, Black Opium or Mon Guerlain, etc., who also have a clearer presence.

Those who are looking for a nice everyday scent may find it cheaper. Jennifer Lawrence is surely an expensive advertising partner, the customer must then also "pay"!

And those who want to attract attention will certainly not have any joy with this Joy.
That's why I can't imagine Joy becoming a "hit" from Dior! Still, he'll have his fans....!

I would have liked a fragrance from Dior that had more expressiveness and character. And just to bring something really new to the market, nothing that has ever been there before! But, I think there won't be anything coming so soon!

Chanel without corners and edges!
Who has waited here with this smell for a bang or what has never been there, will be disappointed. Chanel has wandered on traces of light creaminess.
What praise do you get for the earlier classics, of course! But nevertheless Chanel shows new ways, in fine and noble indeed, but quietly, without Wumms and without being really special!
Nevertheless I like this fragrance very much, the only one in this series that "persuaded" me to buy!
A fine, very creamy, not too powdery breath accompanies me for some time, but without screaming "here I am" now. Quite wearable on hot days, but at over 30 degrees I lack the freshness of a summer scent. Can be used all year round, always suitable and never disturbing!
The suitable supplement such as body lotion and shower gel should appear in autumn, so that the fragrance can be kept on the skin for some time longer. I found Paris-Venise but still the most durable of these three new Les Eaux de Chanel, and also the most feminine!
What's in the scent pyramid is what you get. If you don't like neroli, you can still be sure that nothing stings with this eau de toilette and everything is very finely bound with vanilla and tonka bean. These three fragrances harmonize wonderfully together. Not too sweet at all, wonderfully soft and cuddly, yes, like a very expensive body cream. So airy-melting, radiant, but also warm, sensual, slightly oriental, but unobtrusive! From beginning to end only beautiful!
Great to cuddle on the couch in the evening, but also during the day when you don't know what to wear today.
The idea of Chanel is simply to smell good and well-groomed, no more and no less.
If that's not enough for you, don't test this Paris-Venise, everyone else should hold it under your nose and give it a chance.
Maybe they'd be as positive as I am!
Supplement:
What I must also note very positively, this smell has no similarity with an already existing smell, which is no longer so natural nowadays!

The nice little girl next door
Today, on my 7th birthday at Parfumo, I would like to dedicate this comment to a fragrance that I only learned to love over time!
On days like this one likes to get a little bit wistful and I think about the really nice time here, but also that many of us are no longer active here.

I have got to know and love so many great fragrances here. Some of them just don't suit me (anymore), that's something you learn with time. And many have been with me for a long time and will continue to do so

I can still remember that many years ago, a perfuma was looking for a bright and shining daytime fragrance with strong sillage and I followed this exciting request with great interest and I thought it was so great how committed this perfuma then dealt with these fragrance proposals. And I also always wanted such a day scent!
Then with the time I did not search any more, but he just ran to me!
Yes, I can hardly believe it myself, but it is Gabrielle, this shy, quiet and in my eyes completely misunderstood "little water".
Because, Gabrielle has exactly what I've always wanted. Noble and fine, slightly fruity-splashy and flowery, I am always surrounded by a woody touch, accompanied by fine tuberoses.
Nor does it smell of Gabrielle on every corner, still La Vie est Belle, Si or Armani Code. I don't think that's bad, but, you want to have your "own" signature scent, one you never want to miss and which you can simply wear every day. And, which not everyone immediately recognizes.

One thing Gabrielle's not is loud. I used to like to be smelled before I turned the corner. Now I don't like it anymore. Only very rarely, then rather in the evening and then I have other scents for. So the times are changing and so are the scents!
I have been wearing Gabrielle for some time now and I can say that she can do much more than many people see in her.
For me Gabrielle is bright and radiant, a quiet representative, but even after a few hours I can still catch this very creamy soft base.
With Gabrielle, you'll never stand out, only, perhaps, when you're very close. And if you do, it'll be pleasant. When I wear Gabrielle, it just means you smell nice
So beautiful can this little nice girl from next door be, so beautiful to wear and always suitable for all occasions. So gentle and yet so tangible, so tender and yet so present.
