My dearest vanilla ...
When it gets uncomfortable and colder outside, most of us prefer warmer and heavier scents again. Although I'm not really a friend of gourmand fragrances, I've been feeling a bit like a sweeter and creamy-warm fragrance lately. I have read many comments here and made a small preselection for myself.

Then I discovered by chance in the net a very favorable offer of Datura Blanche for a bottle with a considerable remainder quantity of 50 ml, researched here and finally struck blind. And it was a direct hit for me:

The start is green-fresh and slightly citric, vanilla still no trace. A bitter, deeper note is added, that could be the bitter almond, but it is not unpleasant for me at all. Only then does the beautiful vanilla make its appearance. This is not obtrusive or penetrating, not too gourmandig or too sweet. It doesn't smell like vanilla pudding or other desserts.

It is a present, very pleasant and unsweet vanilla note and together with the other components (most strongly probably by the tonka bean) gives a wonderful, unmistakable, dark, sensually beautiful scent. The shelf life is at least eight hours, which is very tidy for me. I can do without a room-filling Sillage well, I like it anyway rather very closely. I've been wearing it every day for a few days now and I still like it as much as I did at the beginning of our friendship.

All in all, I have had only positive experiences with all the Mecheri fragrances I have tested so far. Maybe this company suits me because it doesn't have such loud or obtrusive scents ? In any case, Dature Blanche very quickly replaced my favourite vanilla insensee from Atelier Cologne in my favour. Datura Blanche is suitable for everyday use and a great companion in autumn and winter. Whether I will reach for him so often in spring will then become clear.

I am very satisfied with my blind purchase and have noticed that the comments written here give me a good first impression of a fragrance and I am very happy to have found this great vanilla fragrance. Anyone who likes vanilla insensee or prefers the not so sweet variants should definitely try Datura Blanche. It's worth it!

It must be simple now ....
It must be easy now, that I write a comment to this wonderful fragrance, although I always think while reading the other great comments here, I should rather leave it and leave this field to the poets and storytellers .....

My comments mostly contain small personal memories and my subjective feelings about the fragrance experience. I can't identify individual scents as well as many commentators here have so wonderfully mastered

Well, I have no memories of this fragrance, because I have only recently got to know it. But my sensations were "WOW" already after the first sniffing.

I was looking for "my" rose fragrance and received a sample of Bal de Roses from the souk as an addition. Already the first encounter was simply wonderful:

Already the start is something special and reminds of fine exclusive rose soap. Then the scent becomes darker and deeper, the rose is still present. For me, however, it is not a rose fragrance in the conventional sense, the rose does not dominate the events. It is perceptible as a dark rose, but it behaves discreetly in the background. This fragrance is not flowery for me either, it is carried by a wonderful powderiness and warmth. It is not sweet, but sweet, not intrusive, but memorable, not room-filling, but very close and long-lasting. As it progresses, it only becomes softer, darker, a little more woody, but it doesn't change any more.

It's really not an exciting development or even a firework of scents, but it doesn't have to be for me either. For me, a fragrance should basically retain its original direction. Small slants are nice and interesting and may be, but I prefer a certain straightforwardness and this is given here in any case.

Bal de Roses is season-independent, fits in spring, summer, autumn and winter, only with really big heat I would probably not choose it. For me it is suitable for everyday use, during the day in the office or in my spare time and also in the evening - as long as there is no firecracker - always a good choice.

This fragrance surrounds me so beautifully, it caresses me, it warms me, it suits me, I simply feel wonderful with it.

Fortunately I was able to buy a bottling in the souk first and then also the bottle and I am very happy about that!

For me the best so far ...
As a rose lover, like many others, I was looking for the perfect rose fragrance for myself. My demands were quite clear to me: it should be authentic and natural, not sweet, not Oriental (not because I don't like Orientals, but because for me it's not primarily a rose scent anymore) It should start bright and fresh and develop a warm base without losing the rose.

I went to the test with these claims. If possible, I have tested the known and available candidates in retail. At the same time I rummaged here, read fragrance descriptions and comments and searched for suitable fragrances in the souk. The biggest problem was that the natural, beautiful fragrances were very limited in their durability. The Orientals of course had more to offer, but they shouldn't be.

In this test phase my vacation began and the test was continued right at the beginning in the Dutyfree Shop. I didn't even have Rosa Nobile on my screen yet, the range and variety of rose fragrances is so great. Seen at the table of Acqua di Parma, first sprayed on the card and then continued. After a few steps turned around, given on the wrist and gone on to the gate. Quite fast I noticed that this fragrance is something very special for me, because it almost completely fulfilled my expectations at this time. Of course I couldn't say anything about the durability so quickly, but the rest was right. Fortunately we still had time to get in and the smell was still before the departure of mine!

And I haven't regretted that: Rosa Nobile starts immediately full pink, intense, but not heavy, and is very natural. It doesn't get sweet, but rather has a green, fresh aura. After a while, warmer tones join in, these carry and keep the scent with me for several hours. Durability is my only criticism, but I can live with that.

Rosa Nobile has accompanied me throughout my holiday and I am sure that I will continue to associate this fragrance with this unique holiday.

But of course - I wouldn't be at parfumo if it weren't - you're always looking for something better, more beautiful, more unique, etc., because it's just fun. That's why I don't stop testing, trying, comparing. And I am happy when Rosa Nobile confirms my choice again and again. And if it should not be so, - yes, then there is a new comment for the new favorite.

It's just like me ....
It all started with the test of Tendre Poison, which I didn't know yet, but which I was very interested in because of the descriptions here.

After I was lucky enough to receive a sample of this (thanks again!), I was immediately very taken with him and searched for the so often quoted fragrance twin Cabotine. The question arose whether the EdT or the EdP was the better choice. For this decision a report on the website "Fragrantica" helped me very well, there the distinction is really well described and I have decided for the EdP.

And it was a direct hit! The fragrance starts immediately as an opulent bouquet of flowers with a very special, unmistakable note, which it retains throughout the entire length of the stay. In the course of time it takes itself back a little and develops somewhat darker and softer, it never becomes cute or cuddly, however, but it always remains unsweet and a little bitter. It is not loud or shrill, but always pleasantly discreet. According to the description this should also be a considerable difference to the EdT. While the EdT is described as an explosion, the EdP is described as an "experience of flowers and green notes". The heat increases even more over time, the intensity decreases. Supposedly the EdT should have a longer durability than the EdP, which is rather unusual. I can't judge these differences because I don't know the EdT. The durability of the EdP is indeed not quite so great with me, after 6 hours only a breath is perceptible on the skin, it must therefore be replenished a little.

Elsewhere the fragrance has been described as "present". That's very good for me. I like this unique scent full of flowers on a base of darker woods, without being able to name them all individually. It is for me a really great composition, which carries all characteristics in itself, which a smell should have for me.

Cabotine EdP is for me a perfect companion for every season, whether for office or leisure, with it I always feel "properly dressed".

Deep dark, sweet rose scent ..
Lyric Woman is only the third Amouage fragrance I've come to know that is based on Ciel and Ubar. Due to the numerous comments I was very curious and excited to finally try out this rose scent. This morning it was then so far:

Warned by the many descriptions as a very intense fragrance, I only tried it carefully on my wrist. The start was very scratchy and soapy, so I wanted to wash my hands in the first impulse. But this quickly subsided. Immediately afterwards the expected flowers appear: very full-flowered, very intense, but still light. A little later a wonderful change into a velvety, noble rose, warm with a slightly oriental touch. Lyric then develops darker and warmer with me, but remains very strong. It is a dark red, elegant rose, full of pleasant warmth, underlaid with noble spices and at the same time slightly powdery. I feel wonderfully wrapped like in a warm and soft cashmere blanket.

But with time, unfortunately, more and more a subliminal sweetness appears, which I don't like so much anymore, and the fragrance becomes very creamy. All in all the fragrance is for me rather an oriental heavyweight than a rose fragrance - you should therefore not be too generous with it, because you can easily overdose it, and you must like oriental fragrances basically.

For me it is clearly a scent for the colder seasons or cooler summer evenings, rather for special occasions, I would not use it in everyday life. The dark red colour of the bottle is a wonderful match - it couldn't be better chosen.
