Exotic Fruit Meets Spices: “Naked Bänänä” by S. - Esse Strikes The Notes

The Italian label S. - Esse Strikes The Notes presents “Naked Bänaná”, a new unisex fragrance that combines a fruity banana note with grapefruit and clove.

Yellow is the new black!
NAKED BÄNÄNÄ isn't just a perfume. It's a style statement, a playful provocation with an irreverent and contemporary edge.

S. - Esse Strikes The Notes

The ironically chosen name itself hints at the concept behind the creation: while “naked” stands for authenticity and openness, “banana” highlights the signature note that gives the fragrance its name. The goal was to embed the fruit in a modern structure of citrusy, spicy, and woody facets.

This interplay already defines the top note of “Naked Bänána”: In the opening, the fresh, fruity banana meets the zesty accents of grapefruit and the contrasting warmth of clove. At the heart, a floral accord of magnolia and peony unfolds, enveloped in vanilla cream, while pepper adds a subtle spiciness to the center of the composition. The base finally combines ambroxan with earthy patchouli, dry vetiver, and soft sandalwood, allowing the fragrance to fade away with a warm, woody, and creamy signature.

A new chapter in the Private Collection

The fragrance is part of the Private Collection from the brand, which also includes the “Serena” “Sofia” and “Tonkaholic”. Each of the fragrances takes a narrative approach: “Serena,” for example, captures the intimate atmosphere of a final winter evening with one’s grandfather by the fireplace—translated olfactorily through notes of tobacco, saffron, cloves, honey, vanilla, and tonka bean. “Sofia,” on the other hand, is dedicated to the emotional moment of seeing one’s own child for the first time and features a bright blend of ginger, neroli, frangipani, ylang-ylang, sandalwood, and white musk. “Tonkaholic” presents itself as a sweet interpretation of the tonka bean, combining its intense facets with vanilla and amberwood.

The new Extrait de Parfum is available in a 100 ml bottle.
