Perfumer Jean-Christophe Herault's "Fath's Essentials - Vetiver Gris" composition begins with an invigorating blend of bitter orange, mandarin orange and a hint of warm hazelnut that gives the fragrance a gentle sweetness. The heart notes combine the floral nuances of Madagascar rose geranium with the fresh, green accents of galbanum and neroli. The base notes are characterized by the depth and earthiness of Sinfonide® and iris, while Haitian and Java vetiver give the fragrance a rough and masculine touch.

Jacques Fath describes her new creation as an artful composition made exclusively of roots and rhizomes of vetiver, galbanum and iris, referencing the glorious origins of perfumery. Added notes of neroli, mandarin and a hazelnut accord give the fragrance a fresh, modern character, combining classic perfumery with innovative flair.

The "Fath's Essentials" fragrance range focuses on spicy notes such as cinnamon, nutmeg and coriander, which are rarely found in perfumery. However, the fragrance was discontinued as the iris root became increasingly difficult to obtain. In recent years, however, Jacques Fath has managed to revive the fragrance by reformulating it to meet modern regulations.
