Rose, Myrrh, and Vanilla: “Hidden by a Rose” by Lancôme
Lancôme is expanding its fragrance collection with “Hidden by a Rose”, a new unisex fragrance that presents the queen of flowers in a darker and more intense interpretation.
“Hidden by a Rose” features a modern rose composition with a spicy, smoky character: The composition opens with the lively, spicy facets of pink pepper, before the May rose takes center stage in the heart. Its soft, floral aroma meets the dry, resinous, and slightly smoky nuances of frankincense. In the base notes, the balsamic, gently spicy accords of myrrh blend with creamy-sweet vanilla, giving the fragrance a warm finish.
The fragrance was created by Juliette Karagueuzoglou and Anne Flipo at IFF. While Karagueuzoglou is known for her modern, often floral creations, Flipo is one of the most renowned perfumers of her generation and is responsible for numerous global fragrance successes.

“Hidden by a Rose” joins the house’s Absolue Les Parfums collection, which is dedicated to the rose and interprets it in various facets—from fresh and light to sensual, spicy, dark, and intense. Well-known fragrances in the line include “Rose on the Moon”, “Hell of a Rose” and “Not Your Rose”.
The new fragrance is available as an Eau de Parfum in a 100-ml bottle.
