Smells just like glazed lemon poundcake fresh from of the oven. It opens with a sharp lemon that quickly softens to a warm gourmand while keeping the lemon note. As it develops, the vanilla deepens and becomes more prominent. While it is certainly a gourmand, I don't find it to be cloying. Very long lasting! Not wholly unique or groundbreaking, but is very pleasant.
