The Evolution of the Ideal Man
By chance, I read about three new fragrances from the house of Guerlain…… Hmmmm ….. What will be included???
When my eagle eyes spotted the name “Ideal,” I thought to myself, “Hell F**IN Yeah!!!!!!!! This will be the Stairway to Heaven”
Excited and full of anticipation, I looked forward to the new release.
So far, I have tested all of them except for the "L'Homme Idéal Platine Privé | Guerlain," and I own all of them….
The L'Homme Idéal Platine Privé is now also in my possession. We wouldn’t want anyone to be left out….
Why does this line captivate me?
The base note of almond has an alluring effect. Cozy and warm, almost hypnotic.
It is perfectly placed and never too much.
Each of these flankers has its own special progression and its own “Secret Sauce.” The nickname is rather secondary to me.

With the "L'Homme Idéal Parfum | Guerlain," the amaretto manages to create a lively and atmospheric vibe. Add to that almond and marzipan…. a dream.
When leather joins in later on… I wish my scent glands would release this juice.
For me personally, this is once again an excellent release from one of the best fragrance houses out there. Please, more of this.
I hope I was able to convey my love for this line and I’ll treat myself to a few more spritzes of this sensational nectar to finish off.

The Scent of a Seductive Man
It's been a few years...
My collection consisted of 10... at most 15 fragrances. At that time, I was already receptive to beautiful perfumes, but not nearly as much as after this encounter. I watched an interview with a German spoken word artist, which focused on a tour of his private spaces.
In the bathroom, he took a bottle of Dior Homme Intense (2011) from the shelf, stating: “the best scent in the world!!!”...
To put it quite frankly... I was indeed tempted to check the turquoise D's homepage and study the entire range of the line...
In the end, I ordered Dior Homme Intense (2011) and since I had some money left over, I also got Dior Homme Original (2011) Eau de Toilette.
The package arrived promptly, and excitedly, I first opened the Dior Homme Intense (2011). For me, it was the strongest scent I had ever smelled... and so different... I had never known iris fragrances and was surprised by what had been created. Simply WOW!!!!
Then it was time for the Dior Homme Original (2011) Eau de Toilette...... and dear friends...... I simply cannot put the feeling into words.... I never thought a man could smell like this. Such a beautiful scent that flowed through me..... Even years later, I am still thrilled and overwhelmed by this creation. The best perfume of all time. Will I ever get to experience this feeling again?????? Totally unaware, unprepared, and unbiased to open a bottle and experience the first spray. Since then, I have smelled many, many fragrances that were also very good and fantastic, but this experience of naive, wide-eyed exploration and the subsequent overwhelming sensation, I have had and will not experience again. Everything that came after was different.... From the approach, the expectation, and the idea of a new scent, I can no longer experience that either.
Dior Homme Original (2011) Eau de Toilette You have changed my life! I want to grow old with you! And when we are someday old, frail old men, totally reformulated and no longer as handsome as we are now.... Then we will still be spinning around!!!!!

As for the scent, I don't think there's much more to say. I have already written a statement about it.
The blend and composition of the individual fragrance notes feels like art and genius to me!!!
I don't want to unnecessarily dissect or explain the scent.
I just wanted to convey to you how we met and what it triggered in me.
We stand alone on the peak of a mountain!!!

An Invaluable Top Fragrance as a Teenager
I still remember when, in long-gone times, I walked through the city with my then-best friend to snag a few spritzes of Escape for Men Eau de Toilette at the turquoise store…. There was already Le Male and ADG or my first unisex fragrance CKOne….. but I remember that Escape was something special for me back then. Money was tight for everyone, and if you were lucky, you got a banger like Le Male as a Christmas gift. But Escape was out of reach for me.

At some point…… years and decades later….
Having long succumbed to the fragrant addiction….. I had a flashback and searched for exactly that.
I was surprised when I saw that it is now being thrown around…. Like the round object in dodgeball
Well…. I ordered a bottle,
When I applied the fragrance, I was somehow not that thrilled..
It is more synthetic today than it used to be. I remember it being much finer and more elegant, and I will never be able to enjoy that experience again

Still, I must say…..
Viewed neutrally, it is a good fragrance for the price
If someone has a twenty to spare, they get a nice fruity-light woody scent with good longevity. You can definitely smell the mango. I find that Forever Love goes in the same direction. Just qualitatively in a different universe.
I dug out Escape again today and went for a little bike ride. I like to wear it now and then. It’s simply one that is unfortunately often forgotten when thinking of the old veterans… it is quite complex and worth its current price… .. .
