First yikes, then yikes..
After noticing the announcement and reading the fragrance pyramid, for me as a lover of spicy-warm fragrances, Boss The Scent Elixir for Him was a flanker that had piqued my interest for a long time...

So, after the information "Now available in our store", I eagerly marched towards the test, sprayed it on and... literally disgusted. Ugh! -I was overwhelmed by the penetrating, incredibly fruity sweetness of ripe mango!
But we all know that everything takes time and should be given time to develop...

After a few minutes, this penetrating "first hit" has also said goodbye and -whoops!- a fruity, spicy note of allspice and red pepper has rolled out the carpet. In the first 15 minutes, the fragrance is still relatively fruity and fresh, but it moves continuously and purposefully in the direction of the spice, and the lavender also slowly becomes recognizable as a floral-powdery companion and gradually becomes more and more present. -A beautiful and linear transition; just the way I prefer a fragrance to develop.
And this is exactly how the fragrance continues to develop: the spiciness slowly diminishes, but is still recognizable, while Boss The Scent Elixir for Him becomes sweeter, warmer and softer and finally arrives at its sweet-powdery and slightly spicy-woody base and takes root.
The fragrance development is really very well balanced, blessed with very good longevity and sillage. -Always present, but never obtrusive and loud.

With the exception of midsummer, I find the fragrance to be a suitable "perennial" for adult men.
Spicy, sweet and powdery, flanked by subtle woody and slightly resinous notes. But neither too spicy, nor too sweet, nor too powdery.
High-quality, mature and elegant, and definitely my next "must have"!

Papa Fahrenheit EdT..
...Mama Habit Rouge EdP.

70% daddy's child, but mom always walks along proudly and presently, sanding the boy's edges a little rounder.

And early on, the boy still has a lot of power! Especially the pepper, in my opinion unusually "fruity" here (which I find fascinating), really screams under the watchful eye of the violet, which is watching in the background! Yes, he wants - just like his dad - for the whole world to know: "I'm here!!!" And it undoubtedly succeeds; the sillage in the first 15 minutes is enormous for two sprays! You are actually surprised and will try to dose a little more appropriately next time... And you can't wait to see how it develops as it gets older.

By the middle of the day, the guy has already run out of steam. His morning perspiration has dried and developed a wonderfully floral powderiness. Here I smell more violets and jasmine. The soft, light leather pants are clean and freshly washed (thanks mom!), and in some pocket the guy is hiding green vetiver, unusually resinous in appearance...

Yes, this guy has character! And lots of character traits! (It's just puberty. Everyone is trying to find themselves somehow.) Some you don't expect at all, some not in this form, and a few very familiar ones, as with all "those" guys. That it works? - If you thought about it like that, you'd rather assume a hyperactive autistic person with epilepsy? But no, it fits! It all fits together perfectly...

In the evenings, he has become more of a man. He's older now too; and gets tired quite early. (He doesn't get that from his dad.) What a shame! -He has held our fascinated attention all day. The leather has become a little darker, but still soft and without the edges of Dad's much older leather pants. He took the now dried vetiver out of his bag and proudly hung it up in his room. And he loves vanilla! (Another strange character trait. It actually smells a bit feminine, doesn't it?)

"Mom, I'm about to go to bed. As early as you are. Dad's working in the workshop until 2am again anyway."

I like this guy!!! :)

Potency...?
Yes! -And indeed overripe yellow pear in at least 4th potency... And that in transatlantic alliance with equally ripe pineapple. All other fragrances are, if at all, with a little imagination still rudimentary perceptible. Because they are simply "pasted over". Only the vanilla can be smelled in the drydown again from itself and brings something ambrierte (and in this case pleasant) sweetness with.

Both durability and sillage are -at least that of my sample- in the lackluster midfield to locate. Transatlantic punch adieu... Also there I can not join the common evaluation of the H/S of this Flanker.

For my perception Ultra Mâle is simply a very fruity and sweet unisex fragrance for the leisure of the generation U20 in the warmer days of the year. For the winter clearly too fruity. And for the perfumery clearly too expensive.

When I here read reviews and my own perception of a fragrance reflect and compare I always ask myself: has the intuitive "top" or "flop" so serious influence on the detailed fragrance perception, are perceptions generally so significantly different, or is it simply the samples ...?

Ultra Mâle in any case is a polarizer of the first degree.

May the Force be with you..
"Dad? Did you buy the shower gel with Darth Vader?" -That was actually the very first reaction when I gave the fragrance its chance outside the germ-free confines of the perfumery. And there were an unexpected number of reactions... The most telling one for me came from a puzzled looking and actually always rather reserved colleague. "You always smell so good!" was her feedback, delivered with a distinct frown. Without exception, every comment was a thumbs down of some sort, and Acqua di Giò Profondo gets that from me too.

The beautiful linear -if in my eyes ultimately somewhat uncreative- composition of the fragrance notes has piqued my interest in a fresh-woody summer fragrance with the potential to be a summer "always-goer". And it was disappointed.

The bergamot dominating the opening remained dominant, and that as no resistance tolerating emperor. Yes, a few rebel alliances there were; but they were all chanceless.
The mandarin in the top note actually tried, and recognizably so; for a minute or two. Suppressed.
Also the cypress tried it allied with the lavender; but to sniff the rebellion of the two already needed closed eyes and some imagination. Rosemary gave itself in my perception not at all to recognize, in my eyes even with closed eyes.
In the drydown, the bergamot in the amber has finally found their Darth Vader and let him obediently carry on...
And in addition, unfortunately, still comes:
1. All this -used as much imagination as possible to create the fragrance yet still some own fantasy realm in my imagination and thus its raison d'être - always, very reliably always, associated with the term "shower bath". And:
2. For a freshman on my skin with decent durability and sillage.

But the simple fact with the catchphrase "body chemistry" has its raison d'être, anyway, because it is virtually a law of nature. And the comments show in the bulk fortunately, the other body chemistry and Acqua di Giò Profondo can smell better than we two us.

The given away chance I give this summer after some time again to the very first Acqua di Giò. -Because he is a reliable summer "always-goer".

THE Power Struggle Strong vs. Weak....
In principle, first(!) A really very nice fragrance...!

Zara's 9.0 starts fresh-spicy, where I perceive the cardamom accompanied by bergamot as dominant. The freshness says goodbye quietly after unfortunately already about 30 minutes and 9.0 thus develops relatively quickly in the direction of spicy-pudgy, accompanied by a discreet sweetness of iris, which resonates joyfully in the background.
It's just unfortunately getting quieter and quieter.... ...
Vetiver and cedar once again come out in a joint show of strength on their amber platform, which gives them the light powderiness, and let us guess what's still in there; but unfortunately(!) more does not come and it becomes quiet...

9.0 is a really very nice fragrance, in my opinion also always and everywhere wearable. -He accompanies the suit wearer in autumn just as stylish as the jogger in spring. If only the H/S would not be sooo weak with me.... -Then 9.0 would certainly be one of THE, and not just that one.
