Tobacco Kaleidoscope
First of all - I am still on the hunt for a tobacco scent that truly speaks to me. So far everything has been too sweet - I just can't get along with Naxos and the like.
So - according to reviews and my love for Amouage, I had high hopes.
At first - for me - it was 1 to 1 shisha tobacco. Anyone who has experienced that knows what I mean. For me - pure nostalgia.
Then it changes completely, green notes - cooking spices like cardamom and unmistakable anise/licorice. Super interesting - hope rises.
The beginning and middle then compete with each other for me for 2/3 hours - it's fun.
After that, I get another 3 hours of simply sweet vanilla cigars. Moods or something similar. Many will surely like it - unfortunately, it's not for me.
Super unique, super creative - but the search continues for me at least.

Almost Perfect. Almost.
Jubilation XXV is by far my favorite fragrance.
Dark yet still light, complex but somehow easy to wear. Fruit, incense, oud. Simply gigantic. And all of this without becoming overly sweet in the dry-down like so many fragrances do.
But nothing in life is perfect. Unfortunately, it lasts no more than 4 hours at full strength on me - sprayed in the morning, there's not even a trace left on clothing by evening.
Maybe in 10 years - for the 50th anniversary of Amouage, there will be the perfect fragrance. Until then - it remains the best there is for me.

Unique? Great.
I love Black Afgano. My first niche fragrance - I knew from all the descriptions - it was exactly to my taste.
Fruity, bitter almond, hashish (not cannabis), smoke, dark and mysterious. Simply superb.
Not necessarily unique - the base can be found in many related Orto Parisi/Nasomatto fragrances (Stercus, Terroni for example if you don't like hashish) but Black Afgano remains the best for me.
As is often the case with extraordinary fragrances, opinions are sharply divided. Since longevity and sillage are enormous - I opted for the Oil Concentrate Roller. This way, it’s just easier for me :-)
