OMG!!! The most unique gourmand fragrance I ever smelled. I just finished the whole 2ml sample within few days and I just miss it so much that I have to get a full bottle immediately, which I already did and it should be on its way. I’ve heard many good things about it for a long time and I was willing to blind buy it if I can find a discounted one from reputable sellers because I just love gourmand so much but I just never could find one. I finally got a sample to find out if I really love it and if it worth the high price tag. I ended up gave up on waiting for a discount bottle and just went to get one from their official website because I just love it this much.

At the first spray, the strong buttery opening was a little overwhelming but after couple minutes the buttery note would tone down a lot and then it starts to smell very much like French patisserie. Particularly a croissant. It’s not the cloying sugary sweet though, which I appreciate. I love gourmand sweet but I don’t like sugary cloying sweet. The sweetness is just right. Also once the buttery accord tones down, I actually love its perfect amount of the buttery and that compliment the whole vibe of it. Interestingly, I can smells the Oud in the dry down but still maintain the gourmand pastry vibe. Not animalic or barnyard at all. This is surely a masterpiece.

Performance wise, it stays closer to my skin but not an intimate skin scent at the same time. I would say it projects about 2 feet from skin until 6-7 hours mark then start fading to a skin scent. It has amazing longevity though. It lasts 12+ on my perfume eating skin. My skin tends not to grip perfumes very well (at least 2 hours less than other people). I know it’s very expensive but I do think it worth the price; the uniqueness of the fragrance, the quality ingredients you can smell from it, the performance and the bottle are all at the top notch. Especially I personally just love this scent.

I actually like the scent but it is so similar to the Jovoy Psychédélique that I already have a full bottle (to my nose). Except Psychédélique has very strong patchouli especially the opening and perform better. They both have the dominant dark chocolate vibe (anyone else feel the same way?). It is strange that Pardon doesn’t perform well on my skin while another one from Nasomatto (Baraonda) perform really well on me, which I just got a FB of it. I know Nasomatto is a performance house but this one only last only 6-7 hours on me with 8 sprays. I know it is still not bad but Psychédélique easily last 10-12 hours on me so no point for me to get a FB. It’s really strange and I think it’s the notes and chemical in this particular one just don’t react well with my skin chemistry.

I always love boozy scents but all the boozy fragrances in my collection are all sweet gourmandy boozy (Enigma, Black Phantom, Side Effect, and Angels Share) but Baraonda is something different. It’s dry woody kind of boozy. It smells so good and unique. I bought a full bottle right after I tested for the first time. Great performance with 10+ hours on my skin and moderate but not big projection. It projects about 2 feet for the first 4-5 hours then become skin scent at 6 hour mark. It’s unique so not blind buy safe but strongly recommend to try a sample of it.

This is gorgeous. I got a 2ml sample of it and thought it smells just like the Oud Satin Mood that I already have at first but once it dries down, it runs its own course. It’s Ambery, the rose is not as jammy, more Oud detected, and the ambergris gives it a slight animalic. Performance is not as beastly as OSM but more rounder, though still very good performance but just not as loud (still not skin scent) so the Amber Aoud is more versatile and wearable while I have to be careful on the occasion using OSM because it is so strong. Last about 10+ hours on my skin while OSM lasts 12+ hours. Actually I shouldn’t compare them together because they only have similar opening and they’re both rose Oud combination. They’re very different after the opening. I got to be honest, the Amber Aoud has even better quality (divine quality) than OSM, although I thought the quality of OSM is already so good. It’s just smoother. I still love them both.

I’m going to get a 100ml of it now. The problem is, I don’t know which version I should get. I got a sample of the crystal Parfum version too and they smell the same but I found the dark juice version has slightly better performance and thicker than the crystal version while the crystal version is safe on clothes. Anyone can help me with choosing?

I finally got a decant of it after I bought a full bottle of the Parfum Cologne version since many people said it is a better version of Parfum Cologne and I love the Parfum Cologne so much.

Ok, I really love both versions but I would say it’s kinda redundant to get both in FB. They smell exactly the same to my nose except the Parfum Cologne has much longer lasting of the frizzy opening while the Pour Homme Parfum version dries down to heart and base much quicker. Parfum Cologne last about 7-8 hours on my skin with bigger projection while the Parfum version the frizziness fades quickly then dries down to the boozy and woody that stay closer to the skin but last 10+ hours on my skin. Honestly my nose can’t detect the difference of their quality because they are both divine. Depends on what you’re looking for. If you looking for a longer lasting and don’t want big projection, go with the Parfum version but if you live in a warm climate (I’m living in Los Angeles where mostly very warm in a year), I think the Cologne version is more suitable. The longer frizziness provides a fresher take of it. I will still get a full bottle of it when I finish my decant of it because it is nice to add it to my collection but I just don’t know when I’m gonna finish the decant as the weather in LA starting to get warm already and I’ve been reaching to the Cologne more often.
