Cherry Picking today!
Do you enjoy cherry note in perfumes? Do you think Cherry is stealing the spotlight and becoming the new vanilla?
I personally have a love and hate relationship with it.
I love when Cherry in fragrance evoke warmth and nostalgia, often when its reminiscent of cherry desserts that often create this selce of comfort. Also, when its well blended with almonds, vanillas, or even boozy notes to achieve complexity and depth.
On the contrary, I find it difficult when a fragrance has a strong synthetic/ artificial cherry vibe and it has edges all over it. For me, often Cherry in fragrances is reminiscent of cough syrup which I find difficult to bear.
Mentioned below are some Cherry fragrances from my collection that I enjoy:
⭕ Sirène : Cherry wrapped around dark and warm woods. Beautiful and probably the most versatile one in the lineup.
⭕ Caspian Cherry : Boozy cherry sprinkled with cinnamon and dipped in dark chocolate and honey. Probably the most refined one in the lineup.
⭕ Cherry X : The most complex cherry I have put my nose on. Cherry with a lot of spices, boozey notes and a strong woody ambery patchouli base.
⭕ Melting Lust : Can’t go wrong with this. Cherry dipped warm and boozy balsamic notes. It’s also the easiest to recommend scent.
⭕ Guilty Crush : Dark cherries wrapped in roses and musks. Perhaps the most opulent of the bunch.
⭕ Latte di Cherry : Fruity cherries dipped in spices. Also very versatile and easy to recommend.
