Good can be so simple
The fragrance I had tested last year in a perfumery expectant relatively early after release. Since I had worn the Eau de Toilette for years, I was very excited about the EdP.

I immediately liked it and couldn't keep my nose off my wrist on the way home. In the opening it is fresh and spicy at the same time. The mix of bergamot and apple and the strong pepper comes across very well and will please the vast majority of people. After that, it just gets spicier and stronger until the many woody notes enter where it gets a bit softer. All in all, a very simple, very good smelling, average lasting perfume for men. The sillage is rather moderate.

September 21' is the large bottle then finally wandered into my display case and thus one thing became clear to me. The more fragrances I test, which are complex and independent. The more fragrances I test that are complex but unique in their scent progression and the more I run after some niche fragrances over and over again, the more I can appreciate fragrances like Boss Bottled Eau de Parfum.
I must be more the "designer type." ;-)

Beautiful opening, quite classic scent, good durability, great fragrance, already got several compliments and "only" paid just 50€ for 100ml. Good can be so simple....

He's gotten older
For me, the Eau de Parfum of Joop! Homme is one of the most logical further developments that I have ever smelled.

From the loud, sweet, pink and flashy bottle has become after more than 30 years, a more mature and darker bottle, which you can already see the maturation process. At first taste, you immediately notice that it has remained young at heart. The DNA is undoubtedly there and will put anyone who loved the classic from the 90s on notice. The cinnamon note has become noticeably stronger and combined with hazelnut and the lack of lemon in the top notes, it starts off noticeably softer and spicier without seeming weaker. In general, it seems more earthy, but is still in full possession of its powers and that's a good thing. The durability is very good and he should quite easily hold out the day.

It must be said that it definitely no longer stands out, as it is clearly more adapted to the times than the Eau de Toilette was at the time. Armani Stronger with you is actually a fragrance that I would expect in his circle of friends, even if it is then different with its original DNA. It is not unique and you will probably still perceive many similar fragrances, but Joop! Has here a logical successor to the Eau de Toilette's on the market.

I like this fragrance really well and I'm glad that I now have it in my collection. Although I produced in the meantime beads of sweat on the forehead, because he was compared here with A*Men. Doesn't belong here of course, but A*Men I already had to scrub off in the department store toilet because I found it absolutely disgusting. Didn't work, of course, because the stuff sticks like resin. :D I can still understand the comparison

He's got potential!
For me, this is one of the Mancera fragrances that totally won me over. Which may have been because I had little to no expectations for it. But for me, I've also found that Mancera is one of those perfume companies where looking at the fragrance pyramid confuses me more than it helps me. Except for Lemon Line and Cedrat Boise, I was actually expecting something different most of the time, but with this one I was sure what was coming. "Aqua Wood" is probably going to be another fresh, aquatic, woody scent that stays with me for 2-3 hours and then fades away. Puff! Something else again... Whoozaaaa...

It starts off very fresh. But not with aquatic freshness but with juicy, tangy citrus and a hint of pear, which is in no way inferior to the citrus in terms of juiciness. This is definitely different from the other summer "aqua" scents I've tested so far. Then in the background a very slight gingery spiciness (?) settles in and makes the whole thing even more interesting. Does not bother me at all, because the sharpness with the sweetness keeps the balance.
After that, the fragrance becomes more floral. The rose, which is rather earthy in type and is supported by the patchouli, does a good job here. This fits for my taste like a fist on the eye. At that point (after 2-3 hours) you get the impression that it's already fading and will disappear completely, but that's not the case. He lets up a little, but with the use of the other notes, he gets it all out of him again and actually becomes a little heavier than before and suddenly develops into a noble everyday fragrance that can be worn not only on hot summer days. Amazing somehow.

In the end, you have so 5-6 hours of pleasure in it and in the beginning he also makes quite attentive. For me, the fragrance has potential times to become my signature fragrance, because it is so multi-faceted. It's fresh, fruity, floral, woody and earthy, which is pretty much everything I like in perfumes. Mancera put it all in a bottle once and et voila! Out came a surprisingly good Aqua Wood, which will definitely go into my collection.

Surprisingly good everyday fragrance!
With the result I have not expected, when I had me here in the Souk 5 samples from the house Mancera procured. After long research and reading many comments and statements here at Parfum and some reviews on YouTube I had a rough idea of which scents are very popular and which are not so well received. Lemon Line, Sicily, Black Prestigium, Aoud Lemon Mint and Cedrat Boise landed in my mailbox and to cut a long story short, Aoud Lemon Mint won me over the most out of all of them!

The beginning is citrusy, spicy and very slightly "musty" for me. Since this is my first oud fragrance, I assume that it is due to this. Since I actually already thought that this can not be for me, but time has taught me better. The "musty" fades with time, as does most of the lemon, and you're left with an earthy, soft, peppery mix that still has something fresh about it. Patchouli, oud, vetiver and leather make the comrade seem quite masculine, which is why I'm a little surprised that this is supposed to be a unisex scent. I don't think I would like it on a woman, but of course tastes differ on that and everyone can wear what they like.

The drydown is clearly the highlight for me. The earthy, peppery oud mix becomes sweeter, softer and almost cuddles. I could swear that from the time I actually also perceive a hint of mint. But could also be that the remnants of lemon mixed with the jasmine and the sweetness of the vanilla somehow make it seem like you're detecting mint here.... ? I honestly don't know, but most people seem to be sure that there is no mint in it and I don't want to contradict them.

All in all, this is a very strong, very easy to wear oud scent that won me over across the board. I don't like the opening that much, but once the base notes kick in, it becomes quite a gorgeous scent that will join the queue to my perfume collection. Despite the lemon and the non-existent mint, i.e. the "fresh" approach in the opening, I would rather wear it in autumn or spring. It might be too heavy for summer, in my opinion.

The durability is very good! So 3-4 hours shines the pretty strong and you are definitely noticed in the time. Whether you want or not. After that, he is a little cuddlier, but holds loose 10 hours through, in which he is also throughout easy to perceive. A times briefly turned or waved his arm and he rises again in the nose. So I wish me that.

Mustache
So I can absolutely agree with thojama's comment. The name isn't all that appropriate, unless you associate a mustache with a fine, thin moustache worn by an elegant Frenchman who enters the restaurant wearing a white shirt and attracts attention. But that's not necessarily obvious, I admit.

I have ersoukt me despite the low price a sample to test him first, because the last Blindbuys were not quite so tingly. But the fragrance you can safely buy blind, because it is one of the few, where a look at the fragrance pyramid is enough to get an idea of what to expect. Nothing extraordinary or surprising happens here.
It opens with a very nice, fruity tangerine that starts to tingle slightly with the pepper. The rose also comes in fairly early. I thought at first that it might be a bit too feninine for me, unless the patchouli slowly joins in. But that also happens over the course of the first hour and gives the rose an earthy, drydown touch, which works to its advantage. Especially in conjunction with the ( almost delicious ) juicy tangerine.

The longevity is fine, as is the sillage. More you do not really need to know and there are certainly people who can describe it all nicer than I did. It remains simply to say that it is a very nice men's fragrance with rose. ( Creed Viking? Not even close. ) In addition, I can imagine him actually almost every occasion. For the price, this is a super fragrance that many say is niche quality. I'm always wary of such terms, but you can definitely notice the high quality.

Will come into my collection,
