Japanese boring Eau de Cologne
The tube contains 6 grams of fragrant paste with the consistency of translucent wax vaseline. I couldn't find the ingredients - with our European hysteria about ingredients, it's a bit unusual for a product not to have an INCI on it. I suspect it's pure Vaseline, perhaps stearin. It spreads easily but is a little sticky. The website claims it's "very soothing for the skin", so I believe it.
This fragrance has a very rich composition, appearance: Bergamot, mandarin, yuzu/sakura, jasmine, leather, rose/amber, hinoki cypress, musk. Well, what can I say: it's like drinking orange juice and buying orange-flavored mineral water. I'm happy with it, that's what I expected.
What I don't like is that the smell is basically uninteresting. I can smell a single note, a pretty nice citrus note, but totally generic juice + zest ... and if I concentrate really hard to get the best out of it, I can detect a faint gray suede and a sort of masculine green. Extremely simple, like a universal perfume for cosmetics where the smell doesn't matter so much - a few hotel cosmetics, a simple eau de cologne (I know what! It's 4711 Cologne Classic).
And I'm still waiting for it to start. And it never starts, that's all.
The plus point is the - and in some ways surprising - intensity: I rubbed 5 mm of the paste on my wrist and for an hour I can feel it quite clearly (by Japanese standards). It really suits a splash of EdP and actually corresponds exactly to longevity mechanisms - as the wax gradually warms up, it releases the fragrance molecules. Okay, that's good.

Oriental violet
The perfume opens with the really fresh apricots (gourmand form of osmanthus) and classic saffron, very arabic, oriental. After a while comes thick violet creamy fondant. The violet leafs hand-in-hand with the apricots and saffron create the fresh dimension. On the other side is dark spicy mix of a bunch of violet flowers with drops of iris root and oriental woods. Long life of this combo is calm, without big changes, stable.
The scent is unusual combination of fruity freshness and oriental depth. Brand new idea of violet ála Arab. Perfect!

TOP smell of girls from East block
Action was a top product of communistic perfumery. The Action cosmetic line born in East Germany about 1980 year. The collection included lipsticks, poudre, eyeshadows, eyeliners, lip pencils etc. All products are enveloped in pink boxes with black crosslines and loked very modern and "westlich". The scent of the cosmetics gave the birth to "fresh modern young" scent in a strange concentration "parfum deodorant". It cost 10 east-german mark (the same price as for half of grilled chicken or one bottle of cheap sweet fruity liqouer).
Girls from east block were mad about it...you know, we didn not had a chance to buy Coty, Lauder, Factor...the best of the best perfumes was Charlie (although the Dior perfumes were producing in the Czech republic in the same time).
And smell? Very light and synthetic smell of citrus and generic light sweet white flowers. But inside was something really brand new - IMHO it could be some of new fresh molecules type "iso-E-super". Sillage and longevity - zero, but it was need to have the pink can in the handbag.
A producer of "retro ossis souvenirs" Casino parfuem Saxonia produces re-edition of Action (and the others east-cosmetic products) circa last five years. It is possible to buy quite commonly in the East-Germany area. The price is about 10-12€ - maybe as same as the whole grilled chicken. :)
The can is same - but the smell is totally different. It has a similar tinge but the interesting tone missing... It is lost or, maybe, it is hidden in my olfactive memory. But I dont like the new Action is not nice empty semisweet - hesperidic chemical scent. Not nice.
