Comparison Extrait, edt & edp
It's time once again to compare different fragrance concentrations, this time with my absolute Chanel favorite, CDR :-D

Extrait with vintage 2022
Edt with vintage 2010
Edp with vintage 2023

Please note that this comparison only reflects my personal opinion, which I am very happy to share with you :)

The extrait starts off wonderfully creamy and delicately leathery, accompanied by a hint of aldehydic freshness and a gentle spiciness...
This is followed later by very delicate floral vibes that gently envelop the leather...
However, the delicate, creamy leather vibes dominate and gently push all other notes into the background...
On me, the extrait remains creamy and leathery with subtle floral hints and lasts very well and for a long time, even if it is rather skin-deep later on...

The Vintage edt begins softly floral with jasmine and ylang - as well as a hint of aldehydic freshness...
Then the wonderfully creamy leather notes become more and more apparent - but always accompanied by the aforementioned floral notes of jasmine and ylang - but now still accompanied by an equally delicate rose...
Over the course of the day, the edt changes again and again from predominantly floral-leathery to creamy-leathery, which I find enormously exciting and attractive...
The edt is magical and for me an absolute treasure that I wouldn't want to be without...

The edp inspires with a leathery-aldehydic - almost alcoholic start... very intense and lulling...
There are far fewer floral notes here than in the edt or the extrait...
The edp lies on me like a second skin and envelops me for hours...
I don't recognize a big development here like with the extrait or the edt, it remains linear, creamy, leathery and for me: beautiful...

Conclusion of the 3 fragrance concentrations:

Extrait: wonderfully creamy and leathery with great longevity

EDT: floral-leathery quick-change artist with equally great longevity

EDP: powerful creamy leather with equally great longevity

For me, every fragrance concentration has its rightful existence and I wouldn't want to miss any of them :-)

I hope I was able to infect one or the other with my love for CDR... ;-)

Sneaked into the heart
Rimbaud had been on my watch list for some time, but I never actively sought out a sample.
One day, I happened to read another review of the fragrance and thought to myself "now I finally have to give it a sniff" ...
And as luck would have it, a dear perfumer even gave me a sample as a gift :-)

When I sprayed Rimbaud on, I thought to myself, "mmmh delicious lavender" but nothing more...

But throughout the day I kept hearing this melt-in-the-mouth buttery vanilla lavender dream.... :-o

Rimbaud starts with a lot of lavender, authentic and flowery-herbaceous... later a buttery-soft vanilla cream follows and nestles up to the lavender... then I perceive a slightly doughy-kneaded nouance, which I attribute to the expanse, simply wonderfully unusual, really great... musk also gives the fragrance a delicate powder fluff ...

The sample contained fragrance for about 4 tests and I actually tested it for 4 days in a row and gradually fell in love with it...

Rimbaud has crept into my heart and I really love it

Hypestrudel
Drawn into the hypestrudel; I was able to get hold of a sample of BT and had high hopes and also expectations of the fragrance...

A little spray on my nightgown in the evening and on my arm should give me an insight...

Hmm... kind of kneady and doughy, gently sweet and vanilla-like with some scratchy oak moss... plus some buttery iris vibes... well, I think to myself... I can save money...

Later in the evening, a fluffy, delicately buttery iris-vanilla melange keeps wafting around me: WOW, now I get it... what a wonderful fragrance aura
Tested and worn several times, I now also really like the top note, which in my opinion is kneady and doughy...

I'm completely sucked into the hypestrudel and still happy

BT has become my evening feel-good ritual with addictive potential

My pregnancy fragrance
I had sniffed Ambra Aurea in a perfumery years ago when I was starting out in perfumery and found it very strong and incense-like...

In the meantime, my fragrance preferences have expanded and also changed quite a bit...

What's more, I'm currently pregnant and perceive everything completely differently at the moment anyway

For the first 5-6 months of my pregnancy, I couldn't smell any smells - and therefore no perfumes either, I immediately felt nauseous.
But then things slowly got better again in terms of scent (sometimes like this, sometimes like that, depending on the day) and now, at the end of the 9th month, just before the birth: no more problems at all ‍️

As a result, I not only had and still have strange pregnancy-related food cravings, but also scent cravings...

I remembered a scent that I had often smelled on vacation in Italy and that I suddenly craved so much out of the blue
I knew it had to be a fragrance with a lot of amber and researched my fragrance brain archive for amber scents...

I came across Ambre Aurea, but couldn't really remember exactly what I thought of the fragrance at the time, only that it must have been strong and incensey but also ambery...
Based on the reviews and the statements here in the forum, I decided to take a chance and simply order Ambra Aurea...

And lo and behold, my absolute bull's eye amber pregnancy fragrance dream ️

...that was in the 8th month and since then I've been wearing the scent on my clothes every day and occasionally a dab on my handkerchief (I don't want to endanger the little mouse with perfume or anything like that)

I'm totally crazy about this scent and look forward to smelling it every morning and having this wonderful amber-myrrh-incense(-vanilla) aura around me ️

Let's see if I still love the scent after the birth It will definitely remind me of my current pregnancy forever

...and now I'm enjoying the last days of pregnancy with my Ambra Aurea ️️️️

Who is she?
Figuratively, the fragrance for me is an elegant, slender French woman,
she is sitting at the bar of a posh restaurant in Paris,
drinking fine champagne,
wearing an expensive and classic black cocktail dress and black stockings,
her legs elegantly crossed,
New suede pumps on her delicate feet,
Fur jacket over the chair,
Her flawless skin is perfect and only delicately made up,
She smokes a thin white cigarette with a holder,
She is a delicate person,
has excellent manners,
she is friendly,
although rather uncommunicative, somewhat introverted and reserved...
she seems almost unapproachable, cool and even a little arrogant...
but when you get to know her better, you realize that she's a real sweetheart,
not arrogant,
very warm-hearted,
and even really profound and compassionate...
she is also an excellent listener and loves long conversations...
She warms the soul,
She has a good heart,
She is always there for you...

Her name is Jecatherina and her father is Russian.
