Chéngmén by January Scent Project

This is phenomenal stuff right here. Absolutely love love and nothing else. I am glad I got this, was eyeing for one since @johngreenink spoke about it but it was worth the wait. A very talented guy who is very humble too and I appreciate that about him
The fragrance starts with a delicious fruity accord, mouth watering stuff (with prominent Oud in the back) but focus on fruits first. I sprayed for the first time, front of the neck, back of the neck, front of my shirt and usually I stop right there but with Chéngmén I couldn't stop (I was under the spell) and boom 4th spray on right side of my neck and 5th spray on left side of my neck and 6th in my mouth and I just stopped that spray and realized it's not a dessert dude. So I am glad I stopped at 5 and didn't do the 6th spray
Why not? Coz the Oud in the back is becoming loud with each sprays and it was hard for me to handle her like that. I would say, 3-4 sprays of this fragrance is MORE than enough.
It would be a sort after one soon as it's been discontinued and I have a feeling that it would reach the stature of Attaupe, my absolute favorite from the house and a tobacco lavender fragrance in general.
After about 20 minutes or so, I start getting the aroma of Champaca flower, which is of euphoric quality, keep you craving for more. It has a very intoxicating and intense floral aroma which is sweet and mouth watering.
An hour or so later the aroma is taken over by some medicinal attributes of the fragrance such as olive, pepper, costus but the magical of them all is the Oud sourced from Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia which got some vanilla and hay like nuances.
This fragrance could easily be 500 plus by many other brands but JSP, keeps it to very basic $250 to what it got and overall structure of the fragrance. It's just the beginning of 2024 and I wore it for the first time and I would like to believe that this right here is the best creation of the year for me. I doubt anything else would come close to this.
The performance is insanely good with easy 12 hours which offers exceptional projection.

WAM by MALLO Parfums
First of all, a fair warning, it's NOT for faint hearts. It's an art in a bottle and a top tier 100% unique fragrance which plays around smokey castoreum, burnt leather and crushed rose petals.
It's highly animalic, with 42% of perfume concentration hence be very gentle on the sprayer.
The perfumer didn't even try to keep it tamed, he literally Unleashed the power of leather and castoreum that it's polarizing in a sense that if you are not used to such beastly fragrances, you might get overwhelmed.
After 2 wearings, it's in one of my top beastly fragrance and one to must have if you love Oud, leather, castoreum, rose.
This fragrance would make you so noticeable that people would ask you what you wearing. With a strong performance of 10 plus hours, I couldn't be happier.
If you love Oud, go for it.
If you love leather, don't even think twice.
If you love castoreum, don't look further.

Mongolian Mriga by Prin
As always, amazing release by Prin. It hits a home run in every department. From the fragrance to performance to sillage and uniqueness, it's a top notch fragrance. I love it ️
It opens up with balsamic notes, some tar and loads of untamed, raw musk which is the heart of the fragrance. It's animalic, rough around edges and screams power throughout.
Around an hour or so, you get beautiful rose and Jasmine and choya ral is absolutely gorgeous, smokey, leathery, dry woody with some amber undertones.
The dry down is all Oud and Musk, there is no alternative of real Musk, and this is prime example right here. It do get some patchouli, vetiver and sandalwood but show stopper has to be the Musk.
I, for no reason, would open the bottle and sniff it and smile. One of those fragrances which would make you happy.
The performance of this is exceptional, with mind blowing sillage. I can't pin point a single issue with this fragrance.
If you haven't tried it, it's worth a shot for sure.

Delicious Blackcurrant and Apricot

Scheherazade by Bortnikoff
3rd collaboration between these 2 talented people, @rbalkris and @bortnikoffparfum and I love all three for sure.
Let's start with a major question that am getting from people, is it similar to Sayat Nova? Based on my personal humble opinion, no, it's not even close to Sayat Nova by any means.
Scheherazade is all natural and yet, it lasts more than 8 hours with a magnificent scent bubble around you. It's not loud or abrasive since it has Oud at the base but surprisingly very uplifting, specifically in this scorching heat.
From the first spray when you get that juicy bergamot, savoury red mandarin and black current which open up in different facets. Starting from green, sulphurous, fruity, a little woody, liquorous, vinous, bitter, balsamic. Which keeps the fragrance very balanced and unisex.
The heart has apricot, I love apricot the fruit and after Sayat Nova, I love apricot as a smell in perfume so this one does have Apricot but as I said, not similar to Sayat Nova, as this one is more uplifting, with green grass vibe thanks to pepper which works wonder with apricot and black current is still present which has evolve to bitter and balsamic hence the fragrance is never over sweet for me.
The dry down is very woody thanks to cedar and Oud which is not skanky but very smooth and delicate thanks to creamy sandalwood. Overall, it's a fragrance which everyone would love and would like to wear. It's not loud, not synthetic for sure hence don't expect super monsterous projection but a subtle scent bubble which lasted more than 8 hours on me and am more than happy.
Now don't be a cry baby because you can't handle the truth and if you want loud fragrances buy blunts spray (satire for one favorite person, not so much)

Addictive and Attractive
Santa Sangre by Rajesh Balkrishnan and Dmitry Bortnikoff
Am outstanding fragrance, which I have been wearing a lot lately. It's soothing, captivating, enthralling which transports you to a place where there is no pain, sadness or anxiety.
Santa Sangre starts of with juicy grapefruit note which is so subtle and unique that you will fall in love with it's first sniff. Vanilla literally add spark to the opening, a vanilla which is not cloying but honey like sweet extracted from its flower directly.
It slowly transforms to its floral category when lotus comes into picture, a lotus (soft and else) which would put every lotus perfume to shame (honestly). Lotus complimented by vanilla and sandalwood makes a beautiful bubble around you that is so energizing, heavenly and unique that the aroma of this scent literally calms you down in a way that all your demons inside have gone off to sleep.
The color of the juice is exceptional, thanks to dragon blood resine which is incense based and gives it smoky feel and I love it.
Overall, a beautiful scent by 2 amazing people! I adore my Sayat Nova, and I would cherish this as well.
