I am ambivalent about this fragrance...
I tested this fragrance for the first time for an Irish concert, the setting couldn't be more appropriate.

Starts alcoholically sweet, turns into a woody aroma with malty sweetness, not bad at all. Somehow the fragrance seems a bit one-dimensional to me, whisky? Could be, or is it just arnica brew in ethanol?

Thankfully, the sillage here is not too strong and the longevity is good.

For me, nothing that belongs in my collection and not the best Brooklyn fragrance.

In my eyes, this is an honest, direct and straightforward oud fragrance. The amount of rose manages to break up the heavy fragrance somewhat, but in my opinion the fragrance was deliberately not made more pleasing with more rose or fruity components.
This fragrance has character, you have to want to wear it, certainly not a fragrance suitable for the majority, it is not playful enough for that.

It becomes smoky and leathery on the skin and remains a little rosier on textiles.

Its "simplicity" makes it a great layering partner for me, adding an extra base to many fragrances.

Longevity is very good, sillage rather average.

I think it's really good and appreciate it for what it is => a statement!
