i don't understand anything...
neither the price
nor the brand
nor the user
nor what is supposed to be special about it

I don't know who wants to adorn themselves with this brand... For me, the whole brand is more pretense than reality.

The notes don't suggest a masculine fragrance for a second, the notes say white flowers with lots of fruit. Nothing more, nothing less. And that's exactly what you get. It's interesting that men are more attracted to this brand, I hardly see a collection of women who own Roja. That must be down to the price then.

The souk is flooded with offers, mainly from men, what was the hope guys?

What it is in any case: rather feminine, reminds me in the first 10 minutes of fragrances from the 90s, opulent, striking and extravagant. It somehow becomes slightly creamy and well-groomed. There is another way to smell creamy and well-groomed. For me, this is too little for a new release from 2024.

Is this pure perfume or eau de parfum or can it be left out? Hmm... at that price I expect a triple extract! There's something adequate with "The Only One (Eau de Parfum Intense) | Dolce & Gabbana"

Sorry for the review, it doesn't happen often but this time it had to be.

PS: for me, there is no fragrance that would ever justify such a price.

When a small niche perfume house like...
Rosendo Mateu influences big perfume houses, then that means something. I mean, both "Vanille Planifolia Extrait 21 | Guerlain" and "Le Vestiaire - Babycat | Yves Saint Laurent" are inspired by "5 - Floral, Amber, Sensual Musk | Rosendo Mateu - Olfactive Expressions". It feels like everyone has been enchanted by No. 5 and both Guerlain and YSL thought "let's jump on this horse and do it our way". Is that still creative? No, certainly not. Creativity would only lie in being different, in giving the fragrance a certain signature scent.
"Vanille Planifolia Extrait 21 | Guerlain" has the typical French Guerlain elegance that I expected. In this case, fortunately, without appearing old-fashioned (not so easy with Guerlain). With the price, the bottle and the fragrance notes, I have to admit that I expected a lot and was not disappointed in terms of fragrance, raw material quality, durability and the appearance of the bottle. All these points get a 10 out of 10 from me. Only the sillage is typically French, an 8 seems adequate to me.

About the fragrance: Resting in itself. Enveloping. Warming. Cuddly. Supple. Noble. Sublime. Elegant. Fluffy like the softest nude-colored cashmere yarn or flowing like silvery-golden silk. For me, it has a (spicy/garden) clove note and perhaps some cardamom that give it a slightly more intense touch. Over time, it develops a sweet-powdery, delicately smoky aura and reminds me very distantly of suntan lotions from the old days, which were all very strongly scented back then. But all in a classy setting, of course.

The quality of the raw materials: you can smell the quality of the fragrance from afar. The extrait lives up to its name.

The bottle is a jewel, a real treasure that is second to none. Period. Perfectly crafted, adorned with gold elements all over, simply incredibly beautiful. The golden juice plays its part in this.

Who is the fragrance for? For the rich, snobs, for those who pretend to be rich or the average consumer who wants to "treat themselves", you only live once ... :p Joking aside. For me, it's unisex. It's not so feminine that it should put men off, and as a man you don't need any "courage" to wear it.

Occasions: For me, this is a statement fragrance but also a connoisseur fragrance. Due to the fragrance impression and H&S for special occasions, more of an evening and night out fragrance. But you can always enjoy it. A small spray or a tiny drop accompanies you throughout the day.

The price: You can discuss this at length. Ultimately, it's subjective. For most of us, it takes up a large part of our monthly net income. Only everyone can decide for themselves whether it is worth it. I'm sure that some people downgrade the fragrance rating because of the price and don't make a clear distinction between fragrance and PL ratio, otherwise the fragrance would be at 8.5 or higher.
Guerlain certainly wanted to outdo itself with this fragrance, both in terms of quality and price. The traditional house has succeeded in both. Does it bother Guerlain that some people turn up their noses here? We probably won't find out....
When I consider that Rosendo No. 5 and Babycat are very similar, then Planifolia Extrait 21 is out of the question for me, not least because of the price.

Sun in the heart
It only warms like this in May
Kisses the cold ground awake
Makes the flowers sprout
And everything shines in lush green

Delicate warmth on my skin
I close my eyes
Enjoy your power
My heart opens immediately
I smile and dream to myself
I believe I have landed in flower heaven

It is the spring sun that enchants me.

And that's exactly how this wonderful fragrance affects me as soon as spring arrives. When I apply it, it's like the warmth of the sun on my skin. It warms my heart and I know that everything will be fine. A soul comforter that radiates a good mood - it has literally filled up on sunshine. Its powderiness and great base give it a sophisticated and elegant character without being old-fashioned. This is not the best candidate for very young women, as it already comes across as mature. It is not lacking in femininity either. It also goes very well in cooler temperatures in March and April or in the fall. In my opinion, it's a great all-rounder, except in summer. Then it becomes quite opulent and should really only be used very sparingly.

You have no season
... i love you in every season!

It is one of those fragrances that you can wear carefree even during the colder months because it simply puts you in a good mood. The top note is so beautifully tangy, minty and lemony, simply juicy without being sour. It makes your mouth water, there's no other way to describe it. After a few minutes, it develops a delicate warmth that reminds me strongly of honey, similar to a verbena tea with a spoonful of honey. It retains its freshness throughout the entire fragrance, and you can smell the mint right to the end. The floral notes come to the fore from the heart note onwards and contribute to a slightly powdery base.
It is my favorite especially on really warm days and even now in winter I wear it in the HO for particularly demanding mental tasks - it has an invigorating effect and refreshes the mind.

The fact that it has remained on the market for almost 25 years really speaks for itself. Only the shelf life is a little poor. Men and women and everything in between who are looking for a sparkling, fresh and slightly sweet fragrance that contains mint as a prominent note will be happy here.

Old familiar with coconut
From Matiere Premiere I still have no fragrance. I find the brand itself exciting, but partly too "own" unfortunately. What they can do particularly well is to turn up the synthetics strongly, but without seeming particularly synthetic. On Vanilla Powder I was very excited, but knew that it will be something very idiosyncratic again. And I was proven right. This muskynthetik at the beginning reminded me of "5 - Floral, Amber, Sensual Musk | Rosendo Mateu - Olfactive Expressions" , then later in the course he gets a BR540 vibe, then goes on to "Instant Crush | Mancera" but with some coconut.
In sum, I lack the wow effect and the powder is rather incidental music.

For whom is it suitable? For all who like musk coconut or vanilla coconut fragrances. Ultimately, the price then does not fit for me, there are similar fragrances for significantly cheaper. But since that is not my direction, I can unfortunately not give any specific examples.

Personally, he bores me.
