Gold... then Ruby
The opening (max. 1 minute) is very, very similar to OMS Gold Edition, then a synthetic yet stylish oud make its appearance. The dry down is a fine tuned sweet-sourish (Red/black grapes and Lychee) and a little bit of animalic touche, reminiscent of Gold Edition, but vaguely in terms of power. Definitely better tamed and balanced than Gold Edition (it goes skin scent much rapidely than Gold Edition), but that not meaning (for me) that Gold Edition is less pleasant. I like both, Ruby for finesse, Gold for manhood. Both are my favourites from Jacques Bogart house. I absolutely hate Oud Edition, it's too offensive oud for me.
Red grapes and Lychee...
Absolutely nothing in common with Lapidus pour homme, like some said elsewhere.
Not cherries, but red flavoured grapes...

Wow! Just wow!
One of the strongest surprise I ever had! I bought it from DM in Bulgaria (in vacation), because I didn't find it in my country. It's so strong, intensive and beautiful smelling! It's also cheap, making it to enter in my "best buy" list. It smells like Mugler's A-Men, but sincerelly I prefer Selection... its dry down it's much better.

Far from what it was once...
Review for batch code 17H24, august 2017.
The power of this one is a pale memory of what was once LPH. Fortunatelly the smell is almost the same. A smell for serious and strong men. A complex fragrance with dominants of honey and tobacco. At the beginning it has also a strong powdery opening with pineapple, patchouli and balsamic notes. Unfortunately the beast mode disappeared: it lasts far fewer than the vintage LPH and the sillage is mediocre. I used it on fabrics and 7-8 hours later it was nothing to smell. I didn't believe in "theory of conspiration" applied at perfumes, but, God, they watered down this beast and made it an average competitor.
Merry Christmas y'all!

Hmmm!
I like very much tobacco note in perfumes. I hoped I finally found the dreamed perfume! I especially blind bought it for the tobacco note... which I can't detect in it. I only detect a strong lavender note in the opening, then the sage note drydown-ing in an animalic touch of a musky-ambery note, strangely missing in description. No tobacco at all! It's strange that people on fragrantica chosen the tobacco note as primary note.
A dissonant perfume, with dissonant notes, but with a pleasant drydown. Nothing smells synthetic in it and considering the low price it becomes attractive for buying, but don't expect... the unexpected.
It's long (but discreet) lasting, with a moderate (to weak) sillage.
From my point of view the general rating for this one is 7-7.5/10.

Not exactly how I expected, but still nice
I met it for a while, but without having the occasion to test it. I decided to buy it, especially because I found it at 22 euros for 240 ml bottle. The smell of this is outstanding in opening, but mediocre in drydown. Musk, floral, spices is what i get. It's well blended and for its times (1979) maybe it could be called FINE COLOGNE. It's still Fine, but surely dated. For me it smells like a good mix of Aramis and Old Spice. The performances disappointed me: not so long lasting as other people say and i tested it not only on skin, but also on clothes/blotters. Maybe I am anosmic to its components?
