Very sweet after 2h
The opening is very alcoholic. The Whisky note is pretty noticeable, which is a con, even as a whisky fan.
I can't pick up a lot of leather here, perhaps very light metallic leather (if that makes sense). Imagine just a hint of a jacket.
After 2 hours, it is sweeter than I would like. I can't tell where this sweet is coming from.
The scent is sufficiently strong to wear on a night out, leisure, but not very suitable for an office environment. It undoubtedly targets a more mature audience, not an open or fun scent. It's a flat, sweet, Xmass market scent.
It is not a bad scent, but the genal 8.4 grade (by the time of writing) is not making much sense to my nose.

No spice or Cardamom
I saw a review grating the scent as a 5. I still wanted to try and ordered a decant. I regret I haven't believed that review.
The sillage and longevity are very powerful. But if the scent is unpleasant, this is a recipe for disaster. Hours and hours of cloying smell on your skin.
Yes, it at the distance, reminded me of TF Oud Wood, but dirtier and with some artificial fresh that might be coming from the disguised cardamom (that I can't capture at all TBH). The sweet is not delicate and round but rather annoying.

Wet cigarrete
Imagine this. You had some sips of cheap Rum while smoking on your balcony. It was raining, you had to leave your place in a hurry and forgot your coup with Rum and half-smoked cigar on your balcony during the weekend. Then it's Monday, and you pick it up for cleaning. What is inside the coup looks like a terrible liquid with rain water, Rum, and wet cigar. That's what it smells like.
"Tobacco note" could easily be replaced by the description above. It's a very unfortunate experience. But this is the life of the adventure in the world of fragrances. You try, you discover, you find what you like, and you find what will never make into your collection.

Very good, but linear
I get here the cardamon giving shape to Mocha, in the same vibe the ginger giving shape to Tobacco in Tobacco Vanille. They are not comparable scents, of course. It's instead how these darker (Mocha and Tobacco) notes play with fresher (Cardamon and Ginger).
The first spray is mesmerizing. So delicious. Smells sophisticated, bright, fresh sweet. I don't get a lot of cinnamon here, which may indicate a good blending with something else (the Caramel?).
I have a selection of fragrances I put on my Hall of Fame, and this one almost made its way to it if it wasn't for the linearity. After 4 hours, almost 5, the scent is more or less the same. The same cardamon, the same Mocha, only slightly subdued and with a tiny hint of powdery.
The linearity of the fragrance makes it a bit tiring and monotonous. Not necessarily a problem, but it steals a lot of its good grades.
Occasion: I would mostly pick it for a night out, evening, and gatherings leaning towards special occasions. Not your next office, day-to-day fragrance. But an excellent addition to the collection.

Sex & The Sea Neroli without the Coconut?
Sticky Fingers and Sext & The Sea Neroli are the only two other fragrances from this House that I would wear. The other five are simply unbearable.
Comparison with S&THSN may not be the best due to the difference in notes, but it still reminds me of a particular phase of that scent where it turns delicious after coconut lets other smells develop.
Bergamot is not super strong at the opening. it opens as dense as a scent coming from a wax bar. After things calm down, the Neroli is there with the benzoin giving a background. The animalic is pleasant, and you will not feel like wearing body parts odors. The Iris is tamed and will not make you smell like gramma makeup. It recedes after a while and leaves the labdanum to play with the Neroli, a bit leather, and other notes.
This is The Fragrance from this House that finally entered my collection. Along with S&TSN and SF (as a third podium place, maybe). This is a sophisticated, versatile scent.
