Although it is already spring on the calendar, the weather is not bothered by it, instead it is gray and inhospitable.

A day to come and have a look in my sample bag.

I resolve to wear whatever I get my hands on.

I close my eyes and reach for it.

When I open my eyes, I'm struck by a purple-colored package - a shade I like.
And the scent is also cheerfully colorful.
Fresh, fruity notes greet me, combined with flowers and ending in soft cedar.
There is also a hint of sweetness.

I look out into my garden and see rows of bright yellow daffodils.

Today I finally treated myself to the Classique.
I've had it on my list for years and now it's mine.

I remember a scene in a restaurant.
I was dining there with my boyfriend at the time and there was a pretty blonde sitting at the next table who had probably also caught my husband's eye.
He kept glancing over at her inconspicuously from time to time.
Finally, he stood up, went to her and - I could hardly believe my ears - asked about her scent.
I heard her answer: Gaultier Classique.
I was piqued, because I was also wearing a beautiful fragrance: Joop Nuit d`ete.
Why didn't I get a compliment from him, because Nuit was always a compliment catcher.

When my ex sat down with me again, I sourly asked him to give me this Gaultier.
I'm still waiting for that.

However, the anger towards this fragrance has now been gone for many years, and today I treated myself to it and I have to say that its floral powderiness is very appealing.
Very feminine and flirty.

The woman who wears it can't be a wallflower.

Today, even my husband encouraged me to buy a large bottle.
The magic of this full-bodied fragrance has probably worked its magic on him too.
So, in the absence of Nuit d`ete, I will happily wear it.

When a new Burberry is on the market, I lace up my running shoes and hit the road.

Just recently, Burberry for Her flashed me intensely - as did the Burberry EdP for Her.
Both fragrances were allowed to move in with me.
So I was also excited about Goddess.

I walked through three perfume shops - but the testers were completely empty everywhere.
This fragrance seems to be very popular.
And rightly so.

I was sprayed with the precious "wet" in my favorite perfumery - and I was very taken with its creamy vanilla topped with soft cocoa.
The clear lavender and slight ginger spiciness do not make the fragrance too gourmand or heavy.

It is a good appetizing daytime companion that does not make you overdressed.
But it also goes well with evening wear.

So today's long search for the "needle in the haystack" has paid off.
Hubby didn't cough either, which is a good sign.
I casually mentioned that Valentine's Day is coming up.
Let's see if he got the subtle hint.

Today I finally held Chant d`aromes in my hands.

I feel like I've been transported back to my youth in Hamburg, where I got to know and appreciate a real Hamburg girl.

A delicate little person who always impressed me with her discreet Hanseatic way of dressing.
Hedi also collected paintings, which I loved to linger in front of in her tasteful apartment.
She knew something to say about every picture.

I was surrounded by her enchanting scent, which emphasized her style.
It was elegant, yet approachable - just like Hedi.
Chant d`Aromes.

It's nice that Chant now reminds me of her again.
And of our times in Hamburg.

And the scent also reminds me of Eichendorff:

Trussardi Donna was the first fragrance I bought with my own money.

Apart from that, my fragrance-loving father always provided me with perfumes and he had good, unerring taste.
But Donna was my own "invention".

I'm still fond of Trussardis, so I couldn't get past the simple packaging of Pure Jasmine.

I like jasmine fragrances, and sprayed curiously.
But here I was greeted by a delicately powdery scent, accompanied by soft, sweet vanilla.
Only later does the jasmine shine through, also in a subtle, subtle way.
Sandalwood softens the beautiful fragrance and I step out fearlessly into the windy autumn day.
