Today I'm wearing English Major on top of Another 13 which I found a sample of. Definitely don't get the hype around the latter as it's just an ambroxan base w a bit of ambrette that feels incomplete, but it seems good for layering!

i've really done a full 180 on rose, and i'm so glad to be here. i find i love rose scents with dewy, honeyed facets, which i find are usually emulating or using damask rose. what are yalls favorite rose perfumes, and favorite varieties of rose in general?

I've been growing increasingly bored with all the gourmand releases lately. It feels like perfume houses/brands don't really respect this category beyond being keys to jingle in front of its audience. What are some interesting or multifaceted gourmands you guys have found? I've been looking into Sorce's special order catalog lately and those seem pretty cool based on reviews

This past year I have been thinking a lot about scents that do more than just smell good. When I first got into fragrance I bought a lot of body mists and those often have a tendency to feel very "flat" - there's the 1-3 listed notes and then nothing underneath but alcohol if you get too close. The more I explored niche and indie brands (and even some high quality designers), the more my vocabulary for fragrance expanded beyond just listing the notes and determining whether or not I can smell them. Some fragrances feel dense, others watery or translucent, and others still might be humid or "icy". With all that said, I would like to know what everyone's favorite "texture" or "temperature" etc is in fragrance (or even just smells in general if you wanna get real abstract with it), and what fragrance that you have smelled struck you the most with the specific way in which it took up space?

Hi everyone!!! What has been everyone's favourite scents this past month? I've been loving Pomelo Oolong and am planning on getting a full bottle in the next week or so, I recently tried a few indie brands and Saffron Flour , Venus in Tuberose , and Birth! are definitely on my wish list now. I've been very devoted to Orphéon Eau de Parfum lately but I've also been wear-testing some samples I purchased recently and I am OBSESSED with Pomelo Oolong. I'm seriously considering purchasing a full bottle of it, it's wonderful. I havve also been loving Xplicit Vanilla and Vanille Havane Eau de Parfum which I'm currently wearing at the moment.So anyways, what has everyone been smelling lately?

Hi!! I thought it would be nice for our first post to be an introduction of sorts. This group is a continuation of the community on Twitter, so essentially this is just a little community for niche perfume lovers to share their finds and experiences and the sort. I'll go first: my first perfume purchase was the Sephora Favourites Deluxe Perfume Sampler Set which led to my first perfume bottle of Lemon Island, my most recent purchase was a Diptyque Eau de Parfum discovery set consisting of Orphéon Eau de Parfum , Do Son Eau de Parfum , and Fleur de Peau Eau de Parfum. My favourite houses would probably be Diptyque and Juliette has a Gun, and my favourites notes are vanilla, saffron, chocolate, and sandalwood!!
