Is there a scent that takes you back to your first crush?

Maybe it's the perfume they wore, the smell of the soap they used, or an environmental smell, like hot peanut oil at the burger joint of your first date.

Hilariously, I had my first boyfriend when I was 6 years old (he was 7, so it wasn't weird). His mom used a laundry detergent that had a very strong scent (she has three boys after all!). It had that classic "clean clothes and christmas trees" smell that all those typical, run-of-the-mill blue juices and deodorants marketed to men have. It was a nice smell though.

One of my first crushes, who's actually a close friend now, used to wear some really strong old spice deodorant that smelled like a fairly basic sweet synthetic amber. I think it's been imprinted onto me in my persistent love of those sweet amber smells like

Luna Rossa Ocean Eau de Parfum or

Golden Mountain
