Perfume: a Netflix series based on Süskind's Perfume

Perfume, the new thriller series from Constantin Film and Netflix, will have its world premiere at this year's Munich Film Festival, June 28 - July 7. Constantin produced the 2006 film adaptation of Perfume: The Story of a Murderer.
Loosely based on Patrick Süskind's novel, the series follows a group of ambitious students who experiment with the power of scent to bend people to their will, with deadly results.
Perfume features a laundry list of Austrian/German stars, including Wotan Wilke Möhring (Valkyrie), August Diehl (Inglourious Basterds), Friederike Becht (The Reader), Christian Friedel (The White Ribbon), Susanne Wuest (Goodnight Mommy) and Ken Duken (Inglourious Basterds).
The series is directed by Philipp Kadelbach (Generation War, BBC espionage drama SS-GB) and will be available on ZDFneo in Germany and on Netflix worldwide this autumn.
