Estée Lauder Pleasure since my first bottle over 30 years ago. I don’t wear it that often these days but nothing else feels more ‘me’.

In the 80s, I alternated between Ombre Rose L'Original (Eau de Parfum)Ombre Rose L'Original Eau de ParfumPaloma Picasso / Mon Parfum (Eau de Parfum)Paloma Picasso Eau de ParfumL'Air du Temps (Eau de Toilette)L'Air du Temps Eau de Toilette and Byzance (1987) (Eau de Parfum)Byzance (1987) Eau de Parfum That's the closest I've come to a signature scent, except I tend to wear Crystal Noir (Eau de Parfum)Crystal Noir Eau de Parfum a lot for summer evenings, and some friends tend to associate that scent with summertime and me.

Yves Sain Laurent pour Homme during my 20s.

Guerlain Vetiver during my 40s.

Nowadays I don't have one, however I alternate Natura Esssencial Oud Vanilla with others.

Only Brigitte (Eau de Parfum)Brigitte Eau de Parfum. To me a signature scent is one you wear daily for many years, so I'm not sure how you could have dozens or struggle to remember them all. There are scents I certainly wear often these days but none on most days throughout all seasons, so I wouldn't consider them "signature" scents.

Japanese Cherry Blossom (Fragrance Mist)Japanese Cherry Blossom Fragrance Mist was my teenage signature scent. It was one of the few fragrances I liked that didn't give my mom a headache so it was a safe everyday choice. As of now I don't really have a signature scent, but I wear Pink Sugar (Eau de Toilette)Pink Sugar Eau de Toilette the most out of my collection.

Oh way too many and I have to dive deep into my memory ; I'm 64 (don't tell anyone 🙃) so....

But let's see...here are some highlights: already as a kid I fell in love with Fidji (1966) (Parfum)Fidji (1966) Parfum when smelling that on my mother's dressing table (bought it years later and still wear it sometimes).

First perfume I wore (it was my mother's but she let me wear it) was Apple BlossomApple Blossom

As a young adult starting to go out I wore Youth-Dew (Perfume)Youth-Dew Perfume.

I loved Dewberry (Perfume Oil)Dewberry Perfume Oil a little after that. (still miss that one!)

Woman III (1986) (Eau de Toilette)Woman III (1986) Eau de Toilette when it was marketed by Lancaster.

L'Eau de MonteilL'Eau de Monteil was on the market for too short a time, oh I miss that one, it was so lovely!

Mitsouko (Eau de Parfum)Mitsouko Eau de Parfum (a former version ofcourse) I bought when I was about fourty years old an it has been in my collection eversince.

L'Air du Temps (Eau de Parfum)L'Air du Temps Eau de Parfum I knew from a guy I was madly in love with (yes, he wore it!) in late seventies and I actually remembered just a few years ago how I loved that scent so I (half)blind ordered it and it is now what I call my signature because it always feels good and never fails me, no matter the season or occasion.

Since visiting sites about perfume (left Fragantica because of their awful hidden agenda concerning politics and am now happy to be here Smile) I've been testing and buying a lot (maybe too many Smile) of fragrances...

But I think that, next to l'Air du Temps, I wear Ysatis (Eau de Toilette)Ysatis Eau de Toilette, Givenchy III (2007)Givenchy III (2007) (only discovered that recently) Mitsouko (Eau de Parfum)Mitsouko Eau de Parfum most often lately and I just ordered Blue Grass (1989)Blue Grass (1989) again because it is so uplifting and comforting in a strange way and I just have to have it in my collection Smile.

The rest are on my shelves to be worn sometimes, but less frequently.

As a teenager … Vanderbilt (Eau de Toilette)Vanderbilt Eau de Toilette afterwards it was Intuition (Eau de Parfum)Intuition Eau de Parfum. Decades later Peau de PêchePeau de Pêche and Vicolo Fiori (Eau de Toilette)Vicolo Fiori Eau de Toilette. Then it was The amber Phase with Ambre et VanilleAmbre et Vanille. Then the flower Phase with Love In WhiteLove In White. Today I would say You (Eau de Parfum)You Eau de Parfum and Delina La RoséeDelina La Rosée

During my teenage years and early twenties my signature scent was LoverdoseLoverdose. When I was about 24 it switched to Guilty Intense (Eau de Parfum)Guilty Intense Eau de Parfum which is still one of my signature scents. When I was around 30 I added L'Instant Magic (Eau de Parfum)L'Instant Magic Eau de Parfum as a second signature scent.

The original Polo in the 80's and switched to Tuscany in the late 80's and early 90's.  That was until Polo Sport in the early mid 90's.  Eventually I went through quite a number of different ones.  Next signature scent was Terre D' Hermes but now it is up in the air as I have some solid contenders and waiting for one to really grab the lead.

Only 20 years old so I have lots of time to change my mind...

Middle school: Nest Citrine, Black Tulip, and Dahlia & Vine were in rotation.

High school: Outremer Eau de Vanille entered the scene. These were the dark years (COVID!) Liked Verde by Nest a lot, as well as Passiflora.

Freshman year of college: Telegrama by Imaginary Authors. I loved this one fast and hard. What an aggressive lavender. I wore it every day, and my roommate and I picked out a lavender air spritz thing for the dorm, but we both were adamant that we hated the scent of lavender? Not sure what happened there. Sorry K. if you were just being polite.

Sophomore year of college: Burned through JHAG sample set. Loved Pear Inc and Magnolia Bliss, started to have a bit of a girly girl moment with Le Monde Gourmand's Sel Ocean and a return to Fresh Cream.

Summer '24: Obsessed with A Drop D'Issey and any almond-scented body cream. It was HOT in Tokyo! I think I was begging my skin to cool down with this fragrance. I went into the summer planning to rock 1969 by Histoires but it just felt too spicy for the monsoon season.

Currently... I don't know. I'm wearing something different everyday, which is really my mode. I have a lot of little drams and sample sets that I savor. Putain de Palaces is very comfortable to me. Like Telegrama (which is the fragrance that I think of when I think of "my" fragrance, and which most of my coats still smell like) it's very powdery and intensely gendered. But You or Someone Like You is listed on my profile, because I think I would probably put that one on if I was rushing out the door and just wanted something on my skin. I'm looking forward to snow so I can put my heavier perfumes on under big coats.

I loved and still love and desperately cling to the remains of both Le Feu d'IsseyLe Feu d'Issey and Le Feu d'Issey LightLe Feu d'Issey Light . I suppose I should just wear them before they completely turn to vinegar, but I am afraid of going into withdrawal.
