The scent you disliked the most.

I really respect Hermés, and there are so many of this brand fragrances that I love, buy, and actually wear. But this latest release, Un Jardin sous la Mer , really disappointed me…

Is this even a perfume? 😂 Is this actually meant to go on your skin? And, most importantly… is anyone supposed to enjoy this?! So many questions, and somehow, this fragrance left me with way more questions than answers. 😂

At the same time, I really do like Christine’s creations, and Barenia and the flankers are actually very wearable. I haven’t bought them for myself, but they smell absolutely beautiful on other people.

But as for Un Jardine sous la Mer … I don’t think I’ll be coming back to it anytime soon.

I think those three really sum up the DNA I'm TIRED of smelling, to the point of hating them. They give me such a headache now it's crazy !

Hinoki Fantôme (2025) < I have never tried to scrub something off my skin so fast lol. Smells actually dirty and not in a fun way, like city stank, like the smog coming out of a grate if someone was smoking weed and tried to put it out by tossing it into the sewer water

Sticky Dates Body Spray < super super strong, headache inducing and sticky, and it smells sweaty/reminiscent of b.o. Chalky and kinda nauseating, unappetizing

You Doux < pencil lead and shavings, pickol

Iconic and popular scents i thought i'd love, but ended up hating:
Angel Eau de Parfum was unexpectedly earthy
Khamrah was too heavy and cloying for me (especially since it's summer all year here!!)
Musk Bouquet | 27, not iconic nor popular but noteworthy mention because it was such an indolic nightmare

It's still fairly early in my fragrance explorations, and I've already put many fragrances on my "dislike" list, but so far I only put Falcon Leather Eau de Parfum in the "hate" one. It went to my throat and gave me a headache.

Come to think of it: I didn't like anything of Maison Crivelli (haven't smelled them all ofcourse, but the sample set I had was awful!)

Exactly, they smell screechy and synthetic in the bad sense.

The only perfume I truly hate is Baccarat Rouge 540 Eau de Parfum . It smells AI generated.

It’s the only perfume that doesn’t remind me of anything – not a natural material, not a place, not a memory, not even an abstract but tangible concept. I smell it and think, “Yes, I think this is Iso E Super, Ambroxan, and Ethyl Maltol.”

I used to like it and owned it in my 20s, but nowadays I smell it from far and it feels hmm cheap, heavy and too strong (cheap, maybe cause it is so popular) - chloé eau de parfum
