Ever had that? You fell in love with this fragrance instantly. You pull your credit cards and the rest is history.

You wear it once. Twice. And that’s it. You leave it alone. Can’t stand it anymore even.

Did that happen to you? I’m feeling my beloved Emporio Armani - Stronger With You TobaccoEmporio Armani - Stronger With You Tobacco is heading in that direction. Since I bought it I’ve smelled a lot of tobacco and… SWY aint tobacco…

Oh yes! At the moment I'm experiencing this with 24, Faubourg (Eau de Parfum)24, Faubourg Eau de Parfum.

As much as I loved it once, as much I'm ambivalent towards it now. But I also know that this may change again, I have more scents with which I'm having a love/love less relationship. So don't give up on it just yet Smile.

From Yooo to Nooo? You are describing my difficult relationship with 312 Saint-Honoré312 Saint-Honoré

Can you explain what it is exactly what’s holding you back from using the fragrances @Ringtale and @EvitaVilla ?

With me, it was the sudden realization that the frag had chestnut in it. Now all I can smell is chestnut.

Hi @Ceesie,  Could be the orangeblossom. On my skin, orangeblossom is always very (often too) prominent. But I also suspect 24 Faubourg has been reformulated (I just don't like to complain about reformulations because they are often done for a good cause), it's less versatile than it once was I think and more linear.

For me, it's the heavy synthetic drydrown. After 2 hours of wearing it, I feel like a full box of perfumed polly pockets.

Hands down it was Lafayette StreetLafayette Street to me. Bought into the hype. It was ok when I bought it. Thought it would get better but was entirely too synthetic for me. Gave it away for free.

This happened to me with Boudoir (Eau de Parfum)Boudoir Eau de Parfum. Lovely seductive rose scent when I tested it after reading many reviews.

Then, I sprayed it on my skin. Suddenly I smelled like an ashtray. The tobacco note worked really weird for my skin.

And that is why,you only spray on the test strip to get acquainted, and touch the skin, to fall in love (or not) .

Basically, never trust test strips (for any of the 3 main factors in a perfume) .

The first time I smelled it, I found it so calming, fluffy, and effervescent. I bought the bottle but when I tried wearing it again, it just felt too cloying. Hoping I grow to like it again. Sigh.
