perpetually stuck at 5 proposals & 5 revisions 4
how are these calculated? im perpetually stuck at 5 proposals and 5 revisions despite regularly adding discussion comments, sources, images, note corrections, photos of my own bottles, advice to new users etc etc etc on other proposals multiple times a week. sometimes it lets me add a 6th active proposal but thats it. back before i took a break from research contributions i was able to submit up to like 8-9 proposals at a time. did the calculation change since i was first active in research? what is factored into this? like obviously im happy to keep helping regardless but it would be nice if it was reflected in the stats

That´s actually what my post was about as well 🙂
https://www.parfumo.com/forums/topic/this-section-of-the-guide

It does not apply at the moment because of the current high number of proposals.
I remember going from 12 to 5 from one day to another in January and it never changed after that. So I assume they turned the counter off and did not update the guide.

By the way, there seems to be a loophole to submit more proposals (I´m not sure I should be saying this 😬) and it´s if your proposal is put on the Waitlist. Then you may be able to submit another proposal (but I´m also not 100% sure that´s how it works because I didn´t try it myself).

@Softspot yea like i get it if they are trying to throttle the flow of proposals but in that case things should be communicated to the users ... and i know multiple people besides me who have recently sent messages to both mods to join the research team to hopefully help but havent gotten a response so like ... maybe the end goal is to intentionally keep the proposal flow at a crawl idk. if that is the way they want to manage it thats fine i guess but it would be nice to know that will be the way going forward. like it's just a shame cuz you have all these people wanting to help verify or whatever and that way they could possibly bring the number of proposals up again but alas :/

I hope they let some of us join the verification team. That could help speed things up. The response I got when asking was basically the more you ask the less likely you are to get in. I just hope I'm didn't annoy  them by asking. Sad

I don't think anyone should be feeling bad or apologize when trying to offer help. I find it absurd if people get annoyed when someone is offering to volunteer because if the reason for the long queue in the research is the lack of resources and the small amount of verifiers, I would assume they would appreciate all the help that they could possibly get. I understand if newbies would be rejected but members who have tons of accepted proposals and revisions should be more than qualified to be accepted to the team and considered a very valuable resource too if they are willing to voluntarily invest their precious time and effort here.

It's been this way for as long as I've been active here, though the max is actually 6 I think
