scented body care

scented body care 0

Hey everyone, I’m currently looking for scented body products, hair perfumes, and anything that works well for layering with regular perfume. I really want to upgrade my fragrance game 🌿 I’m not into super sweet scents or anything with oud, but I love patchouli, amber, raisin – those warm, sensual, slightly mystical vibes. Any recommendations? 🌙

I'd recommend you to try Jo Malone, they have lots of different lovely scented body care products that are designed for layering. ☺️

Penhaligon's has hair and body products that match some of their fragrances, such as an Empressa hair perfume, and a body and hand lotion. For other fragrances there are soaps and hand creams.

Nicolai Parfumeur Createur also has bath and body products that match some of her fragrances.

And, of course, you can look at the major design houses. Chanel, for example, has many products that match to their perfumes. Using Gabrielle Chanel Eau de Parfum as an example, they have body oil, hair mist, body lotion, body cream, and deodorant that will pair with the perfume. They do the same with other lines, including some of the fragrances marketed to men. Dior does the same thing.

A lot of companies make hair perfumes, such as Phlur and Sol de Janeiro. Not knowing the shops available to you in Austria, I suggest you go to the website of one of the shops you might frequent and just do a search for hair perfumes and see what brands are easy for you to obtain/try that are within your price range.

@totalhecate an easy way to get exactly what you want is to buy fragrance oils that you like and mix them with unscented lotion and hair products.

You could order patchouli, sandalwood, or amber oil from a place like Eden Botanicals. I've often used a couple of drops of sandalwood oil mixed with jojoba oil as a body moisturizer during the cold, dry months.

If you'd rather have something that's been created by a perfumer, you could look at any of the scented oils from Cyklar (Sacred Santal is probably right up your alley). Or House of Matriarch has a product named High Beauty Oil that you'd probably like, too.

Not sure if this brand is available where you live, but I like Marbert Bath & Body lotion Classic. It has quite some sillage, it is a fresh, not sweet, intriguing scent, one will feel well groomed wearing it.

Regarding patchouli-scented body products — have you tried anything from Lush? I’m a big fan of their Lord of Misrule scent, which is a blend of patchouli, vanilla, and black pepper. It’s not too sweet (at least to me) and does have a slightly mystical vibe to it. Hope you find some new favorites:)🍀
