...I have to be honest here and mention that since writing the beginning of this entry earlier this year, I have delved more deeply into finding out which Lutens work on me. I can happily report that I am quite content with Tubereuse Criminelle (which I now own) and have found a similar respect for A la Nuit, of which I have a bottle on the way! I have, however, really come to enjoy Miel de Bois :). This will be my next Lutens purchase :).

...Has anyone had their nose on this new Piguet release yet? I was under the impression that the relatively new release of Douglas Hanant was the softer, updated release of Fracas ... and indeed when I sampled it on a trip to Harrods in May I found this to be so. Can anyone shed some light on this? I also understand that three new "Pacific Collection" fragrances (according to The Perfume Magazine) named Blossom, Chai and Jeunesse are soon to be released. Let's hope that parent company Fashion Fragrances and Cosmetics are not tempted to drive this revered house down the road to mass consumerism ... a thought that could well lead to night sweats LOL.I do, however, enjoy a number of Aurelien Guichard fragrances ... so I'll trust in that for the meantime.

...Meh ... I'm just SOOOO much happier here on Parfumo than I ever was at Fragrantica. I met some great peeps over there and still visit to keep in touch with some of them that are not here ... but that's about it.The fact that members can 'burst balloons' over there is childish ... and I find the admins to be living in the Dark Ages too! Every time I write the word 'Parfumo' it gets 'stop spam'-ed ... how puerile ?!?!?!Nope ... give me THIS site any day ... slowly but surely peeps will just realize it's way better over here!!

...Thanks to Apicius I ordered the sample coffret from Divine and have had a wonderful experience with this company. I found their service exceptional, right down to the beautifully wrapped package AND a personal handwritten note ... that's pretty much unheard of these days and simply smacks of style and elegance! Elegant would actually be a good word to describe the fragrances of Divine. I'm working my way through my coffret of samples and will post a review of the collection on my blog here at Parfumo when I'm done.So far so good ... I'm absolutely in love with l' être aimé homme and femme and find l' âme souer to be one of the most beautiful ladies fragrances I have sampled in ages.Simply Divine :) ...

...That's great Flaconneur :) ... I think you'd truly be horrified by how they smell on me tho'!! I have yet to try Tubereuse Criminelle. Being a 'dyed in the wool' Tuberose fan, it'll be a last ditch effort to see if anything from Lutens works on me. If it does, at least I'll be able to own one :).
