...Pipette:Gourmands have their place for the ones who like them. "Coromandel" is almost a classic and liked by many. "Anima Dulcis" has chili in a sweet gourmand presentation and that adds a kick to it which is unusual. Cinnamon drydown is also very nice. yes, I agree. Not everyone likes the same style of perfume, nor do they like the same groups. We all don't like the same flowers, but it is perfectly acceptable to write a negative review, and point out what annoys you about certain fragrances. I, myself are not fond of berry, fruity fragrances, and have written several negative reviews on some of these fragrances, but that is only my personal opinion , and I would never criticize a person who wears and loves these type of perfumes. We are lucky we have so many wonderful choices, even though I am disappointed in today's newer fragrances...longevity etc. I for one, adore Coromandel, and don't find it sickly sweet at all. So, it is all in the smell of the beholder!

...There are certain perfumes I wore years ago, and I can still smell them, in my memory. The fragrance will only come to my mind, when I am reminded of the perfume, or I have written about it. For example,I saw a picture of KL, a fragrance I wore a lot in the 80's, and straight away I could recall how it smelled. The same with Opium, and Estee Lauder Youth Dew...which I can recognize in an instant. Not all fragrances have the recall..but somehow, these ones are inbedded in my memory! :)

...Yes, I will agree with the Goutal remark..I am so disappointed with my Vanille Exquise, I love it so much, but it barely lasts 2 hours on me. I would have bought another bottle if it had a better longevity , but, sadly it hasn't. All the Andy Tauer fragrances are super for lasting power...worth the high price tag, if you like the particular fragrance ).

Before the cultural revolution of the late 60's/early 70's, Americans had the same levels of pride and shame as Europeans. Then something went terribly, terribly wrong.I guess it is also Walmart's secret weapon for advertising! People will flock to Walmart, just to see all the weird and shocking sites! :shock:

...I am also very happy about the new Explorer set. What a great idea, and a great chance to have three of his wonderful fragrances, as a FB is quite a hefty price, and this gives us an opportunity to have 3 faves. I am wondering if any of you have experienced this strange thing that happened to me, when I went on the Tauer Website, it warned me not to go further, as it said it wasn't a trusted site) I had the same thing happen 2 years ago, when I opened an account, and ordered the discovery set. I was using Firefox , and got quite a shock, so tried it on Chrome, and the warning didn't appear on Chrome. But the other day, the same thing happened on Chrome, and can't understand why this is happening . Have any of you had this happen, while going on to the Andy Tauer Website? I think it may be because his payments are made through a Swiss Banking firm, but really don't understand the reason for this.

...Hello all! I haven't had a minute to come on this thread, as have been surrounded by my grandchildren this summer. I am so pleased to hear that Diane1953 is waiting for some Tauer samples...so am I! I have ordered a few I haven't tried, so will be looking forward to the new reviews! I am so looking forward to getting my new samples, as love Andy Tauer's perfumes, and so pleased that I am not the only one! Hope everyone's Sept. will be a beautiful month...weather wise, and fragrance wise!

...It does look like the real deal! As to say, the pre-reformulated Oscar) What a lovely set...I adore Oscar...wore it for several years, and was heartbroken to see what they have done to it. That set looks in excellent condition, so enjoy this wonderful fragrance !

...I have had several compliments for niche fragrances. Of course Coromandel is always complimented on...every time I wear it, I get people approaching me to ask what I'm wearing. But, we all know how wonderful that perfume is! :wink: the next one is Tauer perfumes. The two most complimented ones were LADDM (Desert Marocain) #2. And #12Eau D'Epices. Mind you, that is not surprising, as they are very distinct fragrances. And I do get my comments and compliments on my Divine fragrance, because it is a very prominent rose and patchouli scent. I have also recognized a Tauer perfume on somebody, and I approached them to ask if it was the fragrance I thought it was...the look on that guys face was priceless! He was very pleased I recognized, and complimented his fragrance!

I don' think I could give up my wine to lose weight; life isn't worth living if we deny ourselves everything we love. Now I know why I ADMIRE you so much!! ...I have been naive, and bought a packet of herbal diet thingies. Anti kilogram...how's that for an original name!!! Needless to say...money thrown out of the window would of been easier than swallowing those little devils! Maybe I should have given up food, and my 2 glasses of wine in the evening for the buggers to work!! :wink:
