...I have no idea what AAVE means either!  😄Expressions can be odd to the say the least.  Over my life time I have frequently used the expression "kill two birds with one stone."  I am sure we all know what that means.  I find it an horrible expression since I am bird lover, but nonetheless, it has been ingrained in me since childhood, and I have yet to find an expression that means the same thing and is less offensive to me, and still I use it....  Go figure....

You’ll probably be taxed when you die too if you have property. I knew the government had to get its hooks into sites like eBay at some point.  There was simply too much money on the table.  If you want to sell off your collection, the better way to do it is through CL, FB, and sites like this one.  What they are doing to little people who occasionally sell off a few bottles out of their collections is a disgrace.

I cannot stand the abbreviation, or what it stands for, or hip-hop, and to me it says someone is too lazy to type out full words, lacks the ability to express themselves and/or wants desperately to be part of some zeitgeist. I take your point.  If nothing else, I cannot think of any of my perfumes as "gangsters," original or otherwise.

...That eBay seller I mentioned a few days ago has relisted Chypre Palatin as "New Without Box."  It is definitely not new.  Whether or not it is a fake I cannot truthfully say, but after my experience with this seller, I would not recommend him to anyone.  

...AnamandyFor 2023 the IRS kept it at 200 sales or $20K in sales.  For 2024 you can sell up to $5K before being issued a 1099.  But that doesn't mean that you shouldn't report your sales, because we do not know whether the selling platform has issued that information to the IRS or not. The best thing to do is keep all your receipts when you buy a perfume and all the info when you sell a perfume. You might even show a loss in the end. Also, on all selling platforms, you can opt out of your personal info being supplied to the buyer. ...I have often seen this designation and wondered what it meant.  A little research seems to indicate that OG is an abbreviation for Original Gangster.  What?!?!  Original Gangster???  Where did this epithet originate???  Sounds really bizarre applied to perfume.  For that matter, unless you are talking about one of the oldest mobsters in history, it sounds bizarre period.  Just wondering....

...Sounds lovely, Exciter76.  If you have not done a review for us yet, I hope you will do.  😃Yes, I agree it is a roll of the dice on eBay.  I have had mainly good experiences over the years, but every once in a while I encounter this sort of seller.  I honestly cannot imagine what goes through the seller's mind anytime s/he does something like this.  Is s/he thinking, "buyer will just accept it and keep quiet" ?  It is a mystery for sure....  🤔

...Bought "brand new" 100ml bottle of niche Chypre Palatin from a low feedback eBay seller. Perfume arrived with no manufacturer cello.  Seals on the sides of the box had been cut.  Presentation box was damaged on the outside and the inside.  There was some sort of whitish substance on the inside of the box as well.  Bottle was loose in box.  Bottle and box were not original to one another.  In short it was far from being "brand new."  It was a huge disappointment, a waste of my time, and a hassle to box it up and bring it to town to send it back.  Seller is in Birmingham, AL and used two different names and addresses--one name (female) on the shipping box label, and a completely different name (male) on the return label.  First name had a street address in Birmingham, and the second name had a P.O. Box number in Birmingham.  Seller had a few other high end niche fragrances for sale as well, so be aware of who you are purchasing from.  It is far better to purchase either from a fellow collector you know and trust, or from a reputable department store such as Neiman's, or from the manufacturer's website and be assured of what you will receive than to go through this sort of disappointment and aggravation with a fraudster.  This is not to say that every low-feedback seller is a fraudster.  All reputable sellers start out with zero feedback or low feedback and build from there, but be aware that you are taking a risk to buy from a low-feedback seller.  I should have known better than to risk it.  Caveat emptor!!!
