... A lot of times when I get home at night I'll spray on "Series 3: Incense - Kyoto | Comme des Garçons" . Its a good night one for me because its very cool and calming after a long day. It doesnt last or project that long so honestly its perfect for around bedtime.

... "L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme (Eau de Toilette) | Issey Miyake" "Météore | Louis Vuitton" pricy but its a good one for younger people I believe "Hawas for Him | Rasasi" "Explorer | Montblanc" a little more than citrus but a good all purpose year rounder

Good fragrance to fully understand the Vetiver note?

... I'd go "Vetiver (Eau de Toilette) | Guerlain" and "Encre Noire (Eau de Toilette) | Lalique" both give a good idea of what it smells like. its so hard to tell sometimes because fragrance blends are hard to pick out individual stuff sometimes, but these 2 I feel give a pretty good grasp.

... SOTD "Hermann à mes Côtés me Paraissait une Ombre | Etat Libre d'Orange" Its a overcast day here today and rained all day yesterday. Seemed like the perfect day for it. I love a good petrichor-type scent.

... Leolight421 I’ve got "Imagination | Louis Vuitton". Thinking of buying ombre nomad, pacific chill, Attrappe reves, and afternoon swim. Should I? @Leolight421 I love LV fragrances. Fresh and reeks of quality imo. My personal favorite is "L'Immensité | Louis Vuitton" . I also have Imagination and am looking into Afternoon Swim. I have been trying some ouds lately so I need to sample Ombre Nomad and see.

How do you decide to buy a full bottle?

... I have a running list of samples I want to try and every now and then i'll order a bunch of samples. usually luckyscent (i wish they were spray though). Im not trying to collect fragrances more of a curated collection at this point so a full bottle purchase has to be something I love. If after Ive gone through a sample and emptied it and I'm still thinking about it I usually know for me thats its worthy of a full bottle. There's no niche fragrance stores in my area and even if there was I prefer to have the samples myself to go through them at my own pace rather than in the store and under pressure. I have blind bought maybe a handful of fragrances but after buying an expensive one that I hated I don't do that anymore.

Atomizer won’t spray , what can I do?

... Bought this bottle of "Series 3: Incense - Kyoto | Comme des Garçons" not too long ago so it’s pretty full. When I try to spray nothing comes out . I have a travel atomizer that came with a piece to decant the fragrance out but that didn’t work either when I attached it to under the atomizer . Any ways I can fix this or at least get the fragrance transferred out ? Thanks

... SixAmbregris Dayvvyd89 Welcome! I'm new here too still browsing around getting used to the layout. I like it! The only thing I really liked about F*****ntica was the perfume directory pages with the accord breakdown and pyramid pictures for the notes. I'm excited about getting set up over here though!! Hopefully this site becomes bigger over time too! how does this place compare to basenotes size wise? The database here is really impressive though, and it seems more precise than Fragrantica's re: notes and overall info! I don't know for certain what the respective userbases are, if that is indeed your question, but I'd say the .com English part of Parfumo must be quite smaller than Basenotes. But it seems to be consistently growing, no? @SixAmbregris Yes it is impressive. I've been using this site exclusively for almost a week now and the directory definitely seems more accurate. I love how customizable everything is here. I'll be here from now on Ive been converted. 👍

What are your favourite and least favourite bottle designs?

... I like a good simple clean design bottle honestly. I tend to not like short and wide bottles. For example anything like "Dear Polly (Eau de Parfum) | Vilhelm Parfumerie" shaped bottles are not comforable in the hand and harder to spray. I like tall, clean lines, see through bottles. Examples of my favorite bottles Serge Lutens Bottles "Fille en aiguilles | Serge Lutens" Marc-Antoine Barrois bottles "Ganymede (Eau de Parfum) | Marc-Antoine Barrois" Louis Vuitton Bottles "L'Immensité | Louis Vuitton" Le Labo Bottles too but there atomizers arent as good.

What Parfums de Marly if you had to choose 1?

... Parfums de Marly is not my favorite house. They are great smelling but their warm spicy style amber fragrances arent what I usually like to wear. I would choose "Percival | Parfums de Marly" because its versatile and not cloying. I do own "Layton | Parfums de Marly" which is one of my wifes favorites out of anything so I do wear that as well even though not my best choice.

What's your top "feel good" mood-lifter fragrance?

... For me when I want to feel good "L'Immensité | Louis Vuitton" is my go to. Fresh, the citrus "pops" off my skin and seems really smooth to me. Always puts me in a good mood. Also "Morning Chess (Eau de Parfum) | Vilhelm Parfumerie" and "Baie 19 (Eau de Parfum) | Le Labo" Not as "fresh" but Baie 19 has that almost perfect petrichor ozonic smell to me. Love it and always makes me feel good in a cozy type way. Morning Chess I do not own but I have a sample I keep coming back to. Similar to Aventus but a little greener which is a category I enjoy.

Like a lot of people used Fragrantica a lot for general searching and Basenotes (which honestly the only thing I like there is the forums, everything else i feel is lacking behind fragrantica and here. I'm new here but like the layout, large database, dark mode, and the app for quick checking on the go. only downdside ive noticed so far is the forums are small but hopefully that will grow.
