...I don't wear perfume regularly only for bed, but sometimes I do. A divine combination is: freshly showered, powdered with Yardley "English Lavender" and Acqua di Parma "Colonia" on top. "Coromandel" is nice for bed as well as "Pour un Homme de Caron".

...Well, I would definitely not go for the 1940s, but maybe "Jicky" and "Pour un Homme de Caron" are suitable options. EDIT: If it would have been still in production, I definitely would have tried to get my hands on some original AdP.

... Sherapop: But on unbearably hot days, citrus always works for me. On days like you described, "Encre Noire" works best for me, at least, as long as my sample lasts.

...My favorite summer-scents are... basicly my perfumes. But since the temperature reached a summery level, I mainly wear "Colonia" "Bigarade Concentrée" I also emptied my (until then quite full) sample of "Eau de Campagne".

DonVanVliet: Some of you will be deeply shocked now .. but for me the #1 cologne is "Mugler Cologne" :wink: I like it to, but it is very similar to "Original Vetiver" and irrespective of the huge and unjustified difference in price, I would allways prefer "Original Vetiver". These two scents, I would put in to the "reinvented cologne" category.

...Hello, I just put on my "Colonia" and thought about all the Eau de Colognes I tested so far, and which one my favorite one is. So, which Eau de Cologne do you love most? I include in this question all the more or less "classic" Colognes (Kölnisch Wasser), but I am also curious about reinterpretations of this fragrance-theme. My absolute number one in terms of that is Acqua di Parma Colonia. I first read about the scent, I saw the outstanding bottle, I loved the scent when I finally smelled it. When I startet testing different Eau de Colognes to choose the right one for me, I allways ended up with Colonia. I don't know that much reinterpretations, but I qould say, "Bigarade Concentrée" is one, ans the one I love. So, what are your favorites, your preferences?

...My favorites are 1. Italian 2. Japanese (but only the minimalisic Sushi part, since I never tried the rest and of course the Tea) 3. Indian (they have really nice vegetarian dishes, I'm more or less vegetarian) In terms of Tea, I also like the British (better, the Devonian or how should I call it) cuisine. Oh, and not forgetting the Belgian Pommes Frites (Fritjes) and the Gaufres de Liège, but thats again just a small part of the belgian cooking culture. And I absolutely can not stand the miserable german "food".
