...Started out with Jo Malone's Vanilla & Anise from a sample, and then DHL arrived with my bottle of Amouage woman ! Now I'm wearing both, of course. Couldn't wait :D

...Started out in Yves Rocher's Yria and went out to work in the warm garden... After a long and delicious shower, I'm in Chanel Cristalle eau verte. Beautiful evening in my part of the world. Sunny, warm, birds singing :D

Comments on perfumes: compliments and insults

...In the last 10 years or so I have had 4 scent compliments, for: Lolita Lempicka L Chanel Coromandel Vintage Givenchy III Mona di Orio Les nombres d'or. The reaction in all four cases was "omg, you smell sooooo nice !!!", and what was special every time was that I had applied a very, very small dose of the fragrance. I'm probably over applying most days. Hmmmm...

... Omni: Is it me? Have they changed? I recently purchased L'Heure Bleu in an EDT. Previously I had only attempted the EDP and we didn't get along. L'Heure Bleu is supposed to be Apres L'Ondee's older sister but I kept thinking I'd used Mitsouko instead. Has my brain found the Guerlainade and amplified it? Funnily enough I'm enjoying it more. Mona Di Orio (rest in peace) gave her heart to L'Heure Bleu. After she died I decided I would try harder. Have you tried harder to like something and has anyone got any clues as to why I smell Mitsouko in L'Heure Bleu? I smell Mitsouko in L'Heure bleue. To my nose and brain they share a thick, waxy quality, strongest i Mitsy, where it becomes almost rubber-like. On my skin, that is. Maybe this is the Guerlinade? I find no traces of thickness, wax or rubber in L'Instant and Idylle though. Isn't there Guerlinade in all of Guerlain's fragrances? The one out of these I simply cannot wear is Mitsy. Big disappointment, because I love chypres and would very much like to wear the Icon.
