Good alternative
Well, Fascination is quite clearly in the Richwood direction, but you notice immediately that the quality is not at the same level as Xerjoff or Grand Soir. Nevertheless, it makes quite an impression.
The sandalwood is much more in the foreground here - creamier, softer, almost the main theme. There is also a sweet, ambery touch reminiscent of Grand Soir. Basically, it feels like a mixture of both fragrances, but just more simply knitted.
Performance is exciting: for the first 5 hours, it is really radiant and easily fills the room. After that, however, it flattens out considerably and remains rather close to the skin. For the price, it's actually really okay if you like this style.
If you love Richwood or Grand Soir, you won't find a 1:1 alternative here - but a cheaper, sandalwood-heavy blend that really pops and then fades out quickly.
