Actually, I just wanted to try No. 19 again (I was still not sure). Since I was at it, I also indulged in another Chanel classic.
I thought "TVC15 has it in his collection, so it can't be that bad."
Lemon with a green, dirty support.
The heart note comes and goes again. It's clear that there is a heart note, but it is so well integrated that I can't differentiate anything.
Oakmossy earthy wood note with a hint of vetiver.
My first impressions are confirmed in the fragrance pyramid. I cannot recognize the listed cardamom. Either my sense of smell regarding "modern" fragrances is broken, or this fragrance is a timeless scent that fits wonderfully into this decade.
I think both are the case.
Addendum:
After I inhaled a load of cardamom pods in reference quality, I must confirm the note that cardamom is clearly noticeable.
The more I use the fragrance, the better and more genius I find it. Especially the wonderful base.
I think it's good like that too. It's actually not that quiet in the first few hours, but it does become quite subtle later on...
And yes, definitely cardamom ;)
Thanks for the trust, Mr. Mo :) Yeah, "Pour Monsieur" is really great. If only it were a bit louder. Unfortunately, the Concentrée version is totally useless.
