Actually, I remembered Hugo Boss differently. "The old DNA that gets changed a little bit each time." "You spray it on and after 2 hours you can't smell it anymore." "It's like cologne." Those were my thoughts when I considered Hugo Boss fragrances.
One morning, I received an email saying I could test the new fragrance from Hugo Boss, the Boss Bottled perfume! "What a creative name," I thought to myself. At the time, I had Smoke Oud and Ombre Leather on my wish list and noticed that some of the notes were identical, so I thought, why not, it's a gift.
The fragrance arrived and I sprayed it on. "Wow, this actually smells pretty good, but it probably won't be noticeable for long." I went out in the morning, and around noon I met an old childhood colleague, and the first thing he said to me after shaking hands was, "Wow, you smell really good, what is that? Oud Wood?" I looked at him in surprise and told him it was the new Boss fragrance. He just grinned. In the evening, when I showered before going to bed, I could still smell it.
Long story short, I've been wearing this fragrance for 2 years now. It has become part of my collection and I keep repurchasing it. In terms of price-performance, it's top-notch; it holds up against my more expensive fragrances. The sillage is also very strong, so when I enter a room, people know it's me, but without being intrusive. To me, it smells like a mix of Ombre Leather and Oud Wood with a hint of Boss DNA.
